By Tuesday next week if we lose:

"The Adelaide Football Club executive and board wishes to publicly state that we fully endorse and support Matthew as Senior Coach of the club.

Matthew has been an outstanding asset to the club and provided a clear direction and cultural shift which the playing group have fully bought into since his appointment.

The football club has incredible people working tirelessly to advance the club back into sustained success as we know our fans want to see. Matthew is a key pillar to this and will be fully supported to continue executign his startegic football plan to delive rthis.

We understand fans want to see development and growth and a pathway to success which we believe is coming very soon.

The AFC Executive"

Haha.... more likely though we announce a player contract extension as a diversionary tactic.

I've had two more looks, but I don't think Sloane did as badly as you said.
Why did Sloane go L and not to his right? I reckon he got the call from the Crows player to his left (Smith?), but he fell over, so Sloane handed off to Hinge further back.
It's the Hinge kick that is the real disaster --- instead of kicking mid-wing to his right where the Crows mids are, the kick (miskick?) goes left and to the centre where it's picked off by a happy, unmarked Richmond player.

Yeah, I had another look. It's definitely Smith calling for the ball on Sloane's L, but he gets bumped out of it and falls over. If anything, shoulda been a free to Smith for in the back.
The only Crow anywhere near where Hinge kicked the ball was O'Brien, with 3 Richmond players around him.
At half-speed you can see the ball land on the outside left of Hinge's boot.
Please have another look?
if Sloane dropped the ball at Lairds feet who was streaming past and had berry in support we were away, with Sloane turning and going backwards it brought every tiger mid onside. When he released the ball to hinge every Richmond player that was offside initially is now set up perfectly to defend.

If Smith called anything other than "Go!" then that highlights how past it both of them are.
Sorry but i think this is as dumb as football gets and we do it all the time under Nix, the oppo must be going how good is this!
What Hinge did was just as stupid too - but he would have been just as surprised by what Sloane did as the tigers players would have been.

I do get the feeling that things are setting up nicely for the next coach, it has a bit of a 96 into 97 feel about it.
If it's Nix still at the helm we are gonna piss it down the drain IMO.

Further to the post above.

The Tigers were on the back foot - we were stealing all their energy and in a split second Sloane has managed to revitalise them (let them off the hook) and make his own team mates do the hard work with the backwards switch. Just ****ing stupid play by an ex captain no-less. No wonder we can't run out a game, we are our own worst enemies!

Yes, that's the sequence.
Laird and Berry have taken off to the R which is good anticipation.
Sloane, who might be slow but is not dumb, is not looking at them or even at Smith to give off to.

Hey, maybe Sloane thought they were kicking to the N end (wrong-way mistake happens sometimes)...?

Well if it isn't dumb it will do until we find it.

In the ruck contests O'Brien and Nankervis had against each other, hit outs to advantage were 12-4 in Nank's favour.

Was 7-3 in Flynn's favour in round 1.

It's possible the mids are in a more attacking position expecting ROB to be a bit more competitive so get caught out. Either way you look at it, ROB needs to close the gap there and not just beat up on the 2nd string ruckmen.

On CPH1903 using BigFooty.com mobile app
or the mids need to realise who ROB is and what he is capable of. Because it hasn't changed.

Possibly but a midfield that sets up to do anything other than defend position with an attacking hedge is going to get smashed more often than not.
The Dees are the best at centre clearance in my opinion and they still defend before attack even with Gawn as R1.
They seem to employ the traditional Centreman - Defend the contest (Harmes), Ruck Rover - defend first/switch (Oliver), Rover - ball focused (Viney) roles. With Oliver in Gawns ear with the in-out call connection.
A tick for Goody.

Another so-called ‘heated scuffle/exchange’ lol

Saw this last night, Tex was lining up for a gettable goal, Rachele led to the pocket and when he was ignored he jumped up and down like a bit of an idiot.

If Tex was on a shit angle and miles out, fair enough, but Racheles would have been the harder shot so Tex should have ignored him and having someone carry on like that would have been distracting lining up.

I can understand Rachele being super eager and hungry but there’s also commonsense that’s required. If I was Tex I would have set him straight too.

There was no heated scuffle, unless you call Tex patting him on the back at the end. **** the media can be w***ers.

Yep. That's just the other side of Rachele's enthusiasm really, wants the ball, wants the moment, acted like a bit of a brat when he wasn't given it. Almost like he's 19 years old and still a bit immature out on the field. Would have been a simple "Pull your head in" and that's it.

Hello, I come in peace. I have loved watching the crows beat some of the best teams in the AFL the last three years, during their rebuild. I really hope we all get to see that high pressure and energetic side that can match the best this weekend, port cant seem to cope with that type of style if it's sustained long enough.

P.s Fogarty is a gun, getting some love on our board, hope he doesn't miss any game time.

Wow, this could be the camp all over again

We get it you north supporters want us to beat Port cause you are death riding them. As you can tell from here no one is overly confident we will get the job done this weekend

Yep. Just watched the video. The tabloid journalism here is next level. They’ve managed to freeze frame on a still that looks like Tex yelling at Rash.

When you watch the full video it is a senior player talking a younger player through some do’s and font’s in quite a calm manner.
