I’ve seen enough on shoenberg, everytime he touches the ball it was a direct turnover or fumble.

Got too many lost holes thanks to our drafting. We need a running half back, right now the game is shifting to having more runners down back. Daicos, McGrath, Mckenna, Saad just to name a few are constantly setting up plays. Milera is not the answer because he’s a fraud but he has the tools. Hamil hasn’t developed at all so I’d give Parnell a go

Nankervis has all the tools and he's played there in recent SANFL trial games?!

Out: Parnell, Schoberg
In: Hately, Hamill
leave dragon at FB

Smith, Sloane, Berry get close to dropped.
Agree Shoey needs to go, but Hately in? Not on that page I'm afraid ... should be Taylor.

Dragon at FB? Dixon will kick 8 goals 14 on him. If Butts isn't injured then he comes back in otherwise I'm not sure if Keane is a chance?

Smith - definitely done, with Parnell out they will keep him as a "distributor" even though it is generally distributed to the boundary or opposition.

Sloane - they aint doin that, they should, but they aint.

Berry - I'm not taking out our midfielder that can defend, but then again so should Laird but neither did much on the weekend.

Murphy is a no from me.

I cannot understand what we are doing with RT - he looks ready to play and learn at the top level to me, unless there is something going on behind the curtain that we don't know, baffled.

It's not going to be pretty, it's going to be back to the same old well - fully expect McHenry and Jones to come in to add some "toughness"?!?!?! While giving Shoey and Murphy a chance to redeem themselves - back the boys in - etc etc...

I read that Hately hade been good in the SANFL. i don't know enough about Taylor, we need a big bodied mid in the middle.

Murray will go to Dixon. who else we got to put down back? we have lack of tall defenders!! Butts doesn't deserve to be re-called.

I'm a big fan of Berry, but his first 2 weeks have been very poor. hopefully a showdown is just the game for him to get his mojo back.

completely agree with Murphy. maybe that's where Taylor comes in.

RT just looks so off the pace and uninterested to me. whether its confidence or something else, but does not warrant selection atm.

sounded like Jones has been playing wing, so I'd expect Hammil over jones if going like for like with Parnell. Unless jones plays wing and Sloane goes to HF.

Why the hate on Berry all of a sudden? Played 37 games...

It's tough when a young side has to carry the team (as our senior stocks are dismal), but sub 100 game players are going to be inconsistent. The key is to keep on playing them if they look like they've got it (which Berry most certainly does).

Riley would be a completely different player under a decent coach. I suspect that would be the case with a few of our players.

Its a weird phenomenon around here…

All our faults, all our failures and all our poor showings just seem to get blamed on our youth..

Not by all in here but by a fair few at times..

How guys like sloane, keays, laird, crouch and smith have gotten away with their overall performances in the past two years is beyond me..

I cant even think of the last great game brodie smith played.. a game where I thought after it “without Smith today we wouldve lost”..
the Bulldogs one at Mars last year maybe?..

These are the guys that are meant to be the experienced, and thus more consistent performers, who lead all comers each and every week.. but you have no idea what youre gonna get from them week to week.

The game has gone past sloaney and smithers.. or father time has caught up with them.. just far too slow in everything they do.

On field quick-thinking is not really something that would necessarily transfer to coaching.

It's largely instinctual/from experience. And the state of the game is really something the coaching staff should be on top of so the players don't have to be.
I'd say our coaches have no ****ing clue as to the state of the game and then how to influence it. Nix's band of merry coachmen have been diabolical at this. Probably got it right only a handful of times in his tenure.

Problem with this statement is we never win.

We do occassionally.. especially when our older, more experienced players like smith, laird, keays, tex etc have great games..

At least Tex has more great games than s**t ones..
Tex can't have many good ones left in the tank, he hits 33yo next month if I'm not mistaken?
