The club would be stoked they've got their single change for this match already sorted and taken out of their hands

Changes all sorted. Have to maintain stability now.

Borlase did nothing wrong against the Suns, hardly a surprise he’s first to come in. He’s on the list as a direct replacement for Butts in case of injury.

I feel like we are almost obligated to give Borlase a proper go this year before marking his 'delist' cards.

As much as I want to get Curtin into the side ASAP, i don't want his confidence destroyed or us doing something stupid like playing him on a seasoned AFL forward gorilla at full back.... Let him get a couple of SANFL games under his belt.

From memory Borlase was thrown into the deep end having to take care of King/Casboult and did a reasonable job...also from dodgy memory... but I clearly remember he looked gassed coming to the end of each qtr.

For the players we have, I think Borlase is a sensible choice for this game.

I think our midfield mix at any given time needs to be the following:
  • One of Crouch, Laird and/or Berry to play the extractor role (not saying all three should be selected but only one in the midfield at any given time)
  • One of Dawson or Soligo to act as the distributors to (hopefully) provide good linkage and spot up some good F50 entries; they can rotate out of half back when they're not on the ball to provide some rebound
  • One of Rachele or Rankine to give us some dynamism, speed and creativity in the midfield that we're sorely lacking (resting on HFF/FP when not on ball)

He was solid on a night where every key forward sucked.

To say he did nothing wrong is untrue though. Was untidy with disposal particularly early.

Tex has always defended the club in the media though, it's the same response he would give to any question like that. He bleeds for the club on and off field.

King is still a Crocmedia employee at the end of the day and is there to generate clicks and listeners.
C'mon of all the things to be critical of - Tex slinging some words back at media being critical of the club ain't it.

You’d wanna be careful posting those comments.
