Yes I'm serious. We spent pick 6 on him, time to figure out if he has it or not
Nope.

Borlase is ahead of him, draft position means diddly squat at this time.

While Billy let Marshall kick 5, at least he did some reasonable things with it too. Even his little chip to Hinge(?) who delivered the ball forward with 30 seconds to go was pretty reasonable given I thought he’d otherwise simply jam it on the boot and hope… as for Jones. Cripes. He was dreadful. 7 touches for 98m gained including 4 turnovers and 2 frees against. Plus, he let Fredericks actually kick a goal on him. He has been less than ordinary in the first three games. Time for a spell and for him to actually earn his spot in the team.

McHenry first
Nope. He doesn’t do enough yet, but he always seems to be part of a lot of what is good. 12 touches including a goal, 4 score involvements and 2 assists. It’s not super, but it’s enough for now… unless someone is absolutely demanding a spot with stellar SANFL form, you’d keep him in the team… and hope he gets better… fingers crossed…

And what do you tell Borlase and Worrell who have both been far better than him?

Give them games too, it's a rebuild. Figure out whether our highest ever pick on a key defender can actually play, and then move on to the next bloke

With that said Borlase is far too slow to play AFL, would be shocked if he made it

Surely we have someone pressuring Jones for his spot in the side?

Frampton I thought was pretty disappointing as a defender, looked slow and gave up pretty quickly. I do however like the potential going the other way, maybe one more game but mainly due to lack of alternative options.
Parnell will sometime this year.

I'd back him in a foot race over McAsey, he actually has a bit of vigour about his game and hits packs hard. Would have been right up there last year in intercepts as well.

I agree that McAsey is slow and I don't think he'll make it either, but we spent so much on him that we need to find out. Rooke picks not making it? Meh, low priority

i dont care what happens as long as strawnie comes in for ROB.

ROB is quite literally the single worst ruckman in the comp.

so sick of his taps (when he wins them) going straight to the advantage or into the hands of the opponents 9 out of 10 times. so sick of seeing him get in the way of his team mates and even spoil our forwards attempt at marks. so sick of his utterly atrocious skills and ****n ******ed kicking style.

he’s a spud. a complete and utter spud. Strawnie looks ten times better. i think our midfield might even look better with strawnie..

walker will probably come in for Fog. i’ve been defending Fog but he needs to kick those goals. unacceptable. go back to the sanfl and find form.

our midfield still needs to change… we may of won but it was no thanks to guys like crouch, keays and laird.. nearly everytime these three are at the CB the opponent runs away with the ball. and crouch’s game tonight was utterly appalling.. how many times did he handball to a flatfooted and already manned up team mate resulting in a turnover?.. a dozen times at least.

there should never be anymore than one of them at the cb at any one time.. if murphy is gonna be in the 22 he needs to play as a mid and take the place of one of them permanently. but after todays SAnFL game Berry needs to replace one of them too.. unfortunately we all know what will happen. sloane instead. and more of the same. we were lucky tonight, we played a way out of form and injury depleted team and only just won.

people need to watch the replay of the sanfl game.. there is some awesome talent there. Nankervis is going to be an absolute gun. he’s gotta put some more meat on but wow.. he‘s got all the right moves..

TT was great today.. he’ll still stay in the sanfl but not for long.

mcadam had a great game.. you know he’s in form again because he’s taking screamers.. the one he took today was modra like. kicked some goals and looked good

they absolutely flogged port today.. there’s some great signs there with some of our youth and it wont be long before they will be smashing the door down and demanding a spot in the afl 22..

He didn't even kick it to him cleanly .. hinge had to take it on the bounce... do a sidestep and kick the ball... he's lucky hinge was amongst the best tonight

the time on ground stats are interesting. billiam spent 97% tog which was only bested by jonas. i'd say that indicates they're willing to back him in at least for the short term. while he still has to learn about defending, his extra height on someone like murray and he had 16 touches. just needs to stop being so nervous around the ball and back himself in a bit. conversely, cook at 57% would say he'd probably he on the verge.

in: berry, thilthorpe
out: cook, fogarty

expect that as milera gets more miles in the legs he'll take jones' spot too.

Great win. But its awfully alarming when we talk about outs in Jones, Fog, McHenry and Cook. Then McAsey being worst on ground in the SANFL. Thats literally our high end draft picks of recent times. Boy did we mess them up (excluding Cook). Heat needs to be on our recruiting staff. For me Tex for Fog. Think Jones needs to go. Provides nothing. Give Hamill another go.

W
We need to keep being creative basically and continue rotating young players through.
Walker and Berry should come in for me.
Who goes out, can't play all of Tex, Himmelberg, Fogarty and Gollant
