Great win. But its awfully alarming when we talk about outs in Jones, Fog, McHenry and Cook. Then McAsey being worst on ground in the SANFL. Thats literally our high end draft picks of recent times. Boy did we mess them up (excluding Cook). Heat needs to be on our recruiting staff. For me Tex for Fog. Think Jones needs to go. Provides nothing. Give Hamill another go.
Hamill cant kick. Time to do a Clarkson and base a team on good disposal

Is there a way to play Murphy but physically prevent him from entering the forward 50?

His shots on goal are laughable but his midfield craft looks pretty decent
Shock collar would do the trick.

The weird thing is he can kick a ripper goal but also have horrendous misses.

Fair play, I hammered his selection but if we use him in a different role around the ball I'm happy.

Just don't let him kick it inside 50 or be inside 50.

Out Fogarty Jones McHenry
In Walker Berry Pedlar

Our 2nd KPD position in a real issue atm, Billy is not the answer but no one else is putting their hand up

I’m of the view that we should just ignore SANFL form. We’ve had Murray and Billy be pretty poor, we might as well just give each of the options a block of 4 games each where as long as the effort and intent is there then their spot is safe for that month. Maybe Worrell or Fish will grow a couple, ok Bicks, a few legs and make a decent fist of it. In a rebuild, it’s pointless dropping inexperienced players after 1 or 2 games. So let’s give Billy 3 more and then move onto the next option. Assuming he doesn’t grab the opportunity with both hands.

While Billy let Marshall kick 5, at least he did some reasonable things with it too. Even his little chip to Hinge(?) who delivered the ball forward with 30 seconds to go was pretty reasonable given I thought he’d otherwise simply jam it on the boot and hope… as for Jones. Cripes. He was dreadful. 7 touches for 98m gained including 4 turnovers and 2 frees against. Plus, he let Fredericks actually kick a goal on him. He has been less than ordinary in the first three games. Time for a spell and for him to actually earn his spot in the team.
Jones was ordinary, but that Fredericks goal was 100% on Keays.

Keays didn't chase Boak. So Jones left his man and sprinted across field to try and intercept Boak. Keays then didn't bother chasing Frederick either. Two poor efforts from Keays and 100% not Jones' fault.

Walker In Fogarty Out
Sloane In (should be Crouch) Pedlar Out

I cant see too many more changes after that win. There should be but there wont.

I hate the Pedlar one but after sitting on the pine all night he needs a run somewhere. I cant see it in the main group if Sloane is back and the other forwards wont be moved.

You are so so wrong on that.
Hamill was one of the best kicks we've ever drafted if you watched his NAB League games for the Dandenong Stingrays, unfortunately he obviously lost his confidence with his repeated concussions.

Didn't watch yesterday's SANFL game? That was the Will Hamill of old, speed, run, carry and precise kicking.

Inexperienced Billy ? 5 yrs into his two club career.. he is rubbish.
He made a badly out of form Marshall look like Wayne Carey.

Who cares. Last night simply papered over the gaping cracks in this horrid excuse of a list. I feel sorry for Jordan Dawson. He’s made a huge mistake coming here. Call me a negative Nancy all you want. If you think this list is going anywhere, I’m jealous that you can somehow convince yourself of that.

Pedlar didn't play.. as was sub.

Perhaps a start towards this would be starting him in the centre, rather than deep in the goalsquare ...

You're a negative Nancy

Bombers defense height

Laverde 193 Stewart 199 Kelly 189

Redman 187 Ridley 195 Heppel 189

Doesn't seem like a good size defense to deal with nippy small forwards. Looks ok to good for dealing with Talls and very good for mediums.

Dunno which way we'd go.

McHenry Rachele McAdam

Rowe Murphy Berry

Bombers Forward Height

Perkins 188 Wright 203 Wanganeen 179

Stringer 192 Guelfi 184 Martin 192

Another strange middle height setup. Only Wanganeen would be considered a small. Lot of mediums. One tall.

We should be able to match up on them well. Doedee, Dawson, Hinge, Smith are well suited against these size players. Butts against Wright is obvious. Brown or Macpherson or Jones or Hamill or even Smith(pick one)on Wanganeen.

Dunno if Billy stays in? Perhaps he does and he can go onto Wright and release Butts onto someone like Guelfi.

Doubt it but wouldn't be a bad team if you wanted to give Borlase a go.
