Yeah, bizzare voting.

This bit is binary though - either neither coach though Dawson was best on, or one of them thought he was only 4th best.
Also, at least one coach thought Max or Ned was BOG. Would love to see Max get the RS nomination.

At least 3 players got a vote from just one coach - TT for 1, Rankine for 2, and Smith for 4

From there it's either a 3/3 for Walker and Jones, or a 1 plus 2 /3 split

If it's the 3/3 split, then Dawson must have the 5 plus 2 for his 7; which then means Max and Ned got a 5 and 4 plus 1, and Smith got the last 4.

If it's the 1-2 / 3 split then Dawson got the 4/3; Max and Ned each got a 5 vote with Smith 4.

I find either possibility equally implausible, but one of them happened.

We can probably rule out Nicks giving 5 votes to Ned...

Happy with the changes. McHenry for sub role. Bring mcadam back in a week or so.

Pedlar and fog are two of my favourites to watch with their physicality. Especially keen for fog to sit on mcgovern's head again

Changes seem pretty good to me. Nice one Nick's. It seems Berry is on the outer, not even in the emergencies. Looking forward to McAdam and Worrell being in against the Hawks, that would be close to a full strength team. Hopefully Butts can turn his form around otherwise it's time for Keane to come in against the Hawks.

Good selection night , were never going to make 4-5 changes like some suggested and why would you

2 very classy players come in

Gollant and Ned stiff but that’s footy

They Obvs think Berry needs to work on his form which makes sense

McAdam was the tricky one , sticking with my theory that at this stage they have enough I50 targets and prefer the balance of team without him in

Terrible decision, McAdam brings a point of difference to our forward line. He is the one player that can take an aerial grab in a pack.
I would have thought at least McAdam for tactical sub...at least you could bring him in part way through the game if they were worried about match fitness. He would bring a spark to the game.

At the game on Saturday I thought that Jones, McHenry, Murphy and Keays all had good to very good games.

I then read the game day thread on Saturday night and realised that I was at the wrong match. Keays was hopeless, Murphy barely sighted and McHenry did a couple of nice things but he is still a spud 🙄. Now that I have watched the replay I have to admit that I was wrong. McHenry, Murphy and Keays were even better than I remembered. IMHO it was Chayce’s best game and Gollant did everything expected of him.

To make matters worse all our “overrated, experienced players” (that would be our four 100+ game players being Tex, Sloane, Smith and Laird) also did their bit. Even Wayne was looking better.

So…somewhere between zero and six changes????

The only players who were drop worthy on Saturday were Hinge and Butts (and I expect they are both needed if we have any chance of structuring up against Carlton). With 2 200 cm+ forwards plus Charlie Curnow could The Berg be a Smokey????
Great post.

Unfortunately there is clique on here who see the game very differently to most people and don't tolerate views alternative to their own.

Two good weeks yes

But McAdam a better 2022 season and preferred to Murphy just weeks ago when both were available?
You sure are the best at finding ways to complain. They have just dropped a player that received 5 coaches votes last week, that is brutal. Murphy vs McAdam was always an either way selection, Murph has more than earned his spot.

Would've preferred McAdam over Murphy, Glad we actually made the tough decision to drop McHenry for Pedlar, Although Ned is probably sub

Can't see Berry and McAdam out of the best 22 for long, Nank and Cook in great form in SANFL, Worrell expected to return from injury next week, Finally some real pressure for spots

They went early with the teams?

I am pleased that we have kept faith with Pedlar. The Showdown was his best game and he has been good all three games this year. If fit, Fog must play. McAdam, Gollant and Ned all very stiff.

We are very vulnerable against the triple towers (Charlie Curnow, McKay and De Koning) but we don’t have any good alternatives to a sore Butts.

I am really looking forward to this game. We will find out a lot about our KIDS.

I would’ve put McAdam in, but us having the balls to drop Ned after his good game last week pleasantly surprises me

Murphy probably gets the next two rounds in the side, to give Shane a week back through the SANFL
I don’t think Murphy spot was ever in doubt this week

Will need to keep form to stay in , the way it should be

Shame there’s no sanfl this week as would like to see Berry McAdam in action asap

I like Gollant too ; didn’t do much wrong but had to come out
