Of course, i am just musing but tbh, you want your in form defenders on Curnow and McKay. Max has earned the right for first crack imo
Motlop is pretty important

And those roles are earmarked for Max this year

Eg Walters / Bolton already beaten

No need to get funky

Butts is there to be a key defender and so it will be even though he’s a worry

Yep, will get a bit more of an extended go at it. Definitely looking better now that he’s not the primary or even secondary small forward option

He’s not a part of our most talented side, but if we have an injury to one of our small forwards, we aren’t losing a whole lot. Will face some pressure once McAdam gains match fitness

Don’t expect to see too many changes next week apart from maybe Berry coming into the side (unless we totally stink it up, of course)
Tex a likely out to Tassie.

Interesting stat I heard from Champion Data this week, that Tex is coming 2nd in score involvements in the AFL, only Toby Greene has done better.

You sure are the best at finding ways to complain. They have just dropped a player that received 5 coaches votes last week, that is brutal. Murphy vs McAdam was always an either way selection, Murph has more than earned his spot.
McAdam was in the team for Round 1, after a good 2022. Cops a pretty rough suspension call and is jettisoned?

Sun shining on Murphy

Can someone from the Keays fan club tell me exactly what Mr “1 goal 7 points from 4 games” has done to continue being granted his selection in the forward line?..

Is it his greed that makes him burn his team mates before wildly spraying it at goals?..

Is it his ability to be put in the centre and be soundly beaten by his opponent?

Or is it his ability to run around like a headless chook missing tackles but ”applying pressure”?..

Must play the skinflute very well.

The guy is absolute garbage..

mchenry did far more than keays on the weekend.. FAR MORE..

And McAdam is ten times the forward Keays is. 10 FXXKIN TIMES.

He better do another number on Saad..

Thank fxxk we bought fog and pedlar back in to compensate for the spud.

Has to go to Dekoning. Murray to McKay and Max to Curnow and doedee intercepts..at least thats how i'd start things
I don't think Max will take a tall yet

Murray to Curnow
Butts on McKay
Doedee/Hinge vs De Koning/Silvagni

Murphy has deserved his spot

In other years he was carried

Difference between not being the no 1 or 2 small forward and using him to his strengths

And then him taking his opportunity

Didn’t think his spot was in doubt at this stage

Give it a ****ing rest.

It’s great that we are actually debating which player who played well will be unlucky to be dropped for a better player.

Maybe the institutionalised will cease with the Kristof favourite of ‘no club ever changes a winning side’ or ‘you can’t drop Joe Blog after delivering his best game’. There’s a lot more to stiection than looking back 6 days. Credit to Nix and his cohort for leaving a 60 game unlucky player out in favour of a high ceiling bloje with only a handful of games to his name.
