Bowey isn’t taking Salem’s spot. Like Viney last year, Salem will be given time to build back after a significant injury lay off. He’s still building match fitness. Class is permanent.

Has Salem ever played a game in midfield? **** I hate how stale we are with selection. I know he started forward but I hate how we haven't moved him up the ground since to try see how he goes kicking inside 50. Why not start him at centre bounces in the middle and have Harmes cover his man and see if we can get him using it inside 50. During general play they can swap back

Think he had a trial patch years ago, 2017 maybe where they played Salem wing or centre and wasn’t overly effective. But he’s a different player now, could be worth a rotation through the wing.

Only pre season game vs Richmond I remember was when JKH kicked 2 or 3 and won us the game and it was almost as good as an actual win.

I remember that. But we’ve played Rich in preseason twice since. Once was the first preseason match in 2019. We killed them in the first quarter than got slowly caught then ultimately smashed and the second was 2021 where we won at Casey then the following week we’re embarrassed by the dogs at marvel

I was there, and remember the "ROOOOOSY" chant and the crowd erupting when Astbury kicked the ground and JKH ran 60 metres into an open goal. It was capped off by Dees fans bowing down to Paul Roos as he came onto the ground after the siren, and Jon Ralph declaring JKH as his favourite player...We've come a long way lol
