Personally I think Simpson who played really well on the weekend would be a better match in the ruck for Gawny than Mumford but how do you leave out a beast like that if fit?

I think that's insightful. Mummy's ankle issues are sadly chronic and he struggles to jump. We had to use Lobb against Grundy because he smashed us early and young Preuss matched Mummy as well with youthful exhuberance and a fit body.
Mummy is a beast around the contest though and we need him there against you guys, who are very tough inside at the clearances.
Might be a tougher selection than a lot of people think, particularly with Jezza and Toby out and Rory needed as a forward.

Jones will take his spot this week and I'll (hopefully) never have to hear his name again. Which is kind of a shame, I thought he showed a lot of promise as a small forward in his first year.

Last time we did that was in 05 and look what happened, every game became like an elimination final and by the time we made it we were stuffed and got smashed. However the pre finals bye may come in handy but you still don't to rely on winning the last three with this team. It's going to be a stressful month.

He is not AFL standard he is a good VFL player & until he shows some willingness 2 take on some physicality & not pack death every time he is tackled then he should serve a long apprenticeship in the magoos.

Pedo also is pretty bog average if he isn't the main ruck. Reckon the difference between him and Weid purely as a forward is negligible at this stage, and in that case you'd always rather develop Weid further.

No way. Pedo is much smarter and does much more defensively. And I know you said purely as a forward. But defensive effort is required from all players
