Interesting that Marshall played more of the roaming role today. West was simply off the pace and looked cooked.
Westhoff played like a guy who was going to be rested but had to back up after Lycett was ruled out. He’s still an important player for us but desperately needs a week off.

If Lycett needs one game off with the knee he probably needs 2. One thing we can make a fairly comfortable assumption about is that Ladhams will improve with the run.

If Lycett needs another week I still will want Hoff to be dropped but without Dixon or Marshall to do the 2nd ruck in the middle - in that scenario who is the 2nd ruck?
It is a problem. You can't be picking someone who is in stinking form just to play (badly) in ruck for 5 minutes
I agree that Westhoff needs a rest and that he is probably closer to the end than the beginning 
. However, let’s show some respect to this magnificent servant of the club. While he has been very poor these last two weeks, see how you would go with 4 kids under 10 and fly in fly out games with 4am starts - no wonder he’s looked cooked! I agree rest him up and get some games into Ladhams and perhas Georgiadis but don’t write him off yet

A smart man once said you get what you deserve. If he's not up to it don't play. Don't give me this poor hoff with little kids and early start crap.
Only as a forward - I could perhaps live with that. For example, last year’s Shanghai match against the Sainters. But I think there are others who have jumped in front of him in that queue !

It was weird watching Ladhams game today.
Was so stoked he played such a good game but also realised that his game should mean that Westhoff's career is quickly closing.
There is no way Westhoff should be in the side next week if Lycett is fit and so is Ladhams.

Sure, seems like the obvious choice. Looked injured, slow, disinterested and has been in poor form for weeks.
But that's often when he bobs up and plays a blinder, there is nothing obvious about Westhoff.
Wonder if Johnny Butcher is sitting back wondering about that consistency Westy called for....
Westhoff for Lycett, yes. Can’t drop Ladhams. But those calling an end to Westhoff‘s career are way off. Just needs a rest.

As much as I think Bonner is soft, he is the best replacement for Burton. In terms of speed and kicking and being used to our system. I’d like to see Watts, but I think he should be a key defender. Not sure where Garner is at.
I’m happy to see Marshall chop in the ruck, and Dixon to take the forward 50 rucks - this increases TOG for Ladhams.
BRing in Georgiades for some spark!! We need a first Yearer in there to get some energy.
