All the pros and cons of Bonner being discussed, nothing mentioned so far about his fumbles. His last few games have been fumble after fumble. The more he does it, the more chance the rest of the side starts doing it. We have been really clean with the ball (on the ground) this year and I want to see that continue.

I'm very impressed by our ability to replace players like for like this year, retaining our structure and a working balance of talls and smalls.

Only had a couple weeks of the “too many slow midfielders team” too. Only concern for balance is the second ruck. Thought Marshall showed great albeit different signs up the ground last week so hoping more ruck time doesn’t impinge on his ability to improve on last week.

Paddy Ryder back in Port terrority as Justin Westhoff misses out; Brad Ebert returns

Almost three years ago to the day at Adelaide Oval, Paddy Ryder had one of his “favourite footy moments of all-time” in the best season of his career, as his over-the-back tap led to a Robbie Gray goal that sealed a thrilling two-point Port Adelaide win over St Kilda.
Now the 32-year-old ruckman is preparing for another clash between the clubs on Saturday night, but he will be in Saints colours and trying to avoid hitting the ball to Gray.
Ryder played 73 games for Port from 2015-19, earning All-Australian honours and the club’s best and fairest in 2017, the season of that memorable passage of play.

“That was definitely one of my favourite footy moments of all-time,” Ryder tells News Corp about that July 29, 2017 highlight.
“From my time at Port I had that connection with Robbie from a ruck to a midfielder.

I mean, we shouldn't be impressed by this at all.

It's basic ****ing coaching.

Bonner's potential strength is run, carry and delivery.
However if he is not hitting targets (which he has not being doing this year), then his defensive capabilities make him a bit of a liability.
Seems about 1/4 of his disposals are clangers (CG) this year which is not great for an outside player

So you're aware, clangers includes frees against. So that's 1.8 clanger disposals a game from 12 disposals on average. So not quite as bad as what you're saying

if there is even the tiniest sliver of doubt about Rozee I'd rather he was rested for a week. He's played like he needs a freshen up the last few weeks anyway.

It makes too much sense to rest him, though i'd prefer someone with a genuine future to get a go in his place.

It's a whole new world, isn't it? Someone must have convinced Hinkley it is always R1.

King George - said no-one ever.

Which one?
I - German brought over for his bloodlines, did nothing much
II - Rode into battle as king
III - Went insane and lost USA
IV - Vain, frivolous, unreliable
V - Tough old bugger
VI - Stutterer
