Burton and Motlop are the definite outs. There are a few options for both guys. We could bring back Bonner or we could look to Watts who would be a more like for like change.

Ebert will come straight back in for Motlop.

Rozee was clearly not 100% today with his lower leg injury. If he can't get up then we probably have to look at someone like Dylan Williams or Bergman, probably the latter.

If we drop Westhoff I would rather us go Georgiades than Lycett. Ladhams can move well but he's still primarily a ruck, not a complimentary tall forward. Lycett deserves to come back into the team but Ladhams was given an opportunity and he took it with both hands. He should get another game for his efforts today. I can see why people want to go with a two ruck system but it has NEVER worked for us under Hinkley. We are going to need both rucks during the cramming of the fixture in the next month anyway so I'd rather play the one to ensure whoever our ruck is each game day is fresh and raring to go.

I dont buy the idea that because St. Kilda hypothetically will play 2 rucks.against us means that we should do the same. Our one ruck system is working. We finally have a solid system in place. How would two rucks improve our team? I really dont see it.

Thats not to say that I would rather play Westhoff than have a 2nd ruck. I think Hoff needs a rest, but I would rather a 3rd tall in Georgiades come into the side instead of a 2nd ruck - strictly to maintain the forward line balance and structure.

Jut curious, did the AFL make the call about teams having 6 on the bench from Round 9?

Also, if we are having 5 day turn arounds too from R9, could very easily play Ladhams/Lycett every second week, or pick the most effective match up.

We are so lucky Wines’s handball to that Carlton player only resulted in a Butters mark on the line. If that guy had a longer kicking range than Sam Gray, we lose that game.

So this game confirmed that Ladhams is a very good player, but hes just a ruckman. In fact he's a ground level player not in the air despite being huge, and should not be used as a tall forward because of this.

That means we play one of lycett or ladhams. Don't mind which as they're both good rucks though.

Motlop out for Ebert. Easy change.

Burton out for Bergman or Bonner if the coaches dont think he's ready.

And rest Hoff for Georgiades. Hoff deserves a break and Georgiades deserves a second crack. I trust marshall in the ruck for now and Georgiades lets us hold our structure up forward.

Could be as many as 4 changes to a winning team which i typically despise, but i feel it's warranted here.
