We looked less s**t tonight than the rest of the season. Reckon thats because of a better mix of players, and Crouch having slightly less midfield time for Soligo. In other words, drop Laird or Crouch and our midfield mix looks better. As everyone has been saying...

Out:
Laird/Crouch
Parnell

In:
Berry
Dowling

McHenry to Sub

Will need more speed at Marvel. Would consider Hamill
Matt crouch is far superior to laird so he either plays defense or he's out. We all know this won't happen though.

Injured - Murphy, Thilthorpe, Sloane, Schoenberg, Murray, Milera

SANFL V Centrals Saturday Afternoon
F Welsh Burgess Gallagher
HF McHenry T Murray Bond
C Haysman Edwards Jones
HB Hamil Madgen Ryan
B O'Leary Tahana Smithson
R Strachan Taylor Boyle
I Whimpress Clifford other top ups

AFL V Carlton Saturday Twilight - (Borlase ruck chop out)
F Gollant Walker Rankine
HF Keays Fogarty Cook
C Nankervis Crouch Curtin
HB Dawson Worrell Keane
B MLanney Butts Parnell
R O'Brien Rachele Soligo
I Laird Pedlar Hinge Dowling Borlase
EMERGENCY TRAVELLING Sholl

I see the Suns have dropped Rory Atkins this week

Maybe we could get him back?? I’ve heard he “dances with the ball”. Not exactly what we need, but we’re shite at the moment so…

If you are going to play Jones in the sanfl play him in the centre

What is Luke Nankervis going to look like after 60 games
Well, hopefully he'll have shaved off the 70's pr0n star moustache...?
(I know what you meant, I just couldn't resist :sneaky:)
(and how bloody long will it take for the selectors to get him there).
Unless we sack Nicks, he'll be old'n'grey before he gets to 60 games.

It was interesting that Dawson spent quite a bit of time up forward after half time

Clearly we're struggling up there.

Lost McAdam, missing Thilthorpe, Walker under duress, Fogarty struggling to impact, Murphy and Pedlar both awful so far, Burgess just handy nothing more

I'm sure part of the reason Rachele and Rankine have had such fleeting midfield glimpses this season is that we feel they're desperately needed up forward.

Let's hope Welsh is a freaking gun

No wonder we're targeting Hayward. No superstar but he's AFL quality and we're bereft of it.

Given Nick's love for Murphy, it's understandable the likes of Nankervis think it's a good idea to have a moustache...

Out's -
Michelanney rested has a serious case of the 2nd year blues.
Parnell - too small, doesn't tackle.
McHenry - too small, what is his weapon?
Keays - apart form the Joe the goose goal what did he provide?
there is already enough head wobble in our forward line.
Burgess - Tries hard but it's time for Gollant to have a go.
On Notice - Walker, Rankine & Rachele need to wake up before half time - the latter two spent most of the first half flapping their wings at team mates who didn't put it on the platter for them. Downhill skiers at the moment. Their opponents absolutely torched them.
Jones - Where's the run and gun gone?

In's
Turn and go on the outside - hit the first option.
If no option set it on ROB's head and hunt.
Nank to half back.
Dowling
Curtin
Gollant
Ryan, Bond or Edwards or Pedlar.

We'll beat Carlton.

I did note we had eight players missing from our match vs Carlton last year for gather round. Milera, Sloane, Murphy, Murray, Pedlar, Doedee, Sholl and TT. That's a lot of changes. With these outs, esp TT and Murray - who were strong at either end of the ground, we're struggling. TT gave us a chop-out for when our mids delivery was poor, as he provided a marking target - often up to the wing area.

I see a lot of Carlton, as the missus barracks for them and note that Carlton were able to bounce back, with the coach simplifying their game plan, and players better able to adapt to that. I wouldn't say they have out and out stars, they have a few good bookends and Cripps in the middle, but they play a great team brand of footy atm. They do make mistakes but not as many as we currently are.

I live in hope we can turn it around...starting with this week. Would like to see Dowling come in for Parnell and Strachan for Burgess. Laird to HBF and Dowling part of the midfield mix. We must get Rachele into the midfield too...just for that bit of pace and flair. Ned to sub, rotate Crouch and Berry off the bench.

Why is everyone of your changes ( apart from Keays and to some extent McHenry ) are under 40 game players?

Burgess has been one of the better forwards
Michalanny you must be nuts to stifle development
McHenry because he is too small? Did he shrink? Use some other measurement
I wouldnt have selected Parnell

But the pint is you put on notice senior players - **** them drop them now. Stop switching the fresh magnets and start removing the older ones

What is your point?

Michelanney was pitiful Thursday night - have a look at the replay. Needs a spell.
McHenry isn't AFL standard
Parnell isn't AFL standrard... What more do you want?
Burgess is break glass, I'm suggesting to try Gollant is he not a young player
I'm selecting Dowling is he not a young player? et al.
Trying to wonder what your point is here... are you another Apricot slicer?

One bad game and you’re dropping a young player who has excelled, righto
