We looked less s**t tonight than the rest of the season. Reckon thats because of a better mix of players, and Crouch having slightly less midfield time for Soligo. In other words, drop Laird or Crouch and our midfield mix looks better. As everyone has been saying...

Out:
Laird/Crouch
Parnell

In:
Berry
Dowling

McHenry to Sub

Will need more speed at Marvel. Would consider Hamill
Not if you saw Hamill play last week

Baby John Burgess needs to get the chop. Slow in speed and thought. Plays too similar to Tex and Fog. All are playing very ordinary footie atm. Too small for ruck. Strange decision for him to be taken by club. Not young and tweener size. Second prize after missing out on chol
Wouldn't be opposed, don't think he helps our forward structure at all even though he was pretty good in rounds 2 and 3, but who supports ROB in the ruck if we do that?

I’m going to lose my f**ing mind if any of the following things happen:

1) Sholl returns
2) McHenry is selected
3) All 3 of Crouch, Laird and Berry are selected. The argument for only playing 1 of them is stronger than the argument for playing all 3. Even when one is sub, it MAKES NO SENSE.
4) Dowling is left out
5) Cook is dropped
6) Parnell is selected

And to a lesser extent, because he may not yet be up to full fitness after multiple interruptions in preseason…

7) Curtin is left out

DROP THE PROVEN FAILURES. PLAY THE UNKNOWNS FFS!

Following wont happen as Nicks has already laid the foundation that "big step up from SANFL" but what I would like to see happen

Parnell is carrying and injury, so agree, push Jones to back pocket and bring in Ryan.

Laird to "managed" or forward pocket, he's a momentum killer

Keays "rested" and Dowling in.

Hinge sent back to SANFL and Curtin in.

McHenry to sub, Cook and Nankervis on wings

Usually you should feel sad for a coach to be sacked. But nicks 100% deserves it.

Wouldn't drop murphy unless it was forced. Won't bring in dowling and put laird back in defense. Is nicks scared he'll hurt his feelings putting him back there? No one cares nicks. He's a useless stat padder who will ruin your coaching career.

Won't put rash in the middle to get him into the game.

Won't try anything when you're constantly losing= see ye later idiot.

The season 4 games in is cooked. Lets bring in the next generation.

What should happen

Out: Nicks, McHenry, Berry, Smith, Rachele, Burgess
In: Burns, Curtin, Pedlar, Ryan, Gollant, Dowling

What will happen

Out: Cook, Nankervis, Parnell, Burgess (injured)
In: Sholl, Himmelberg, Hamill, Pedlar

Dropping Rachele is an awful call

Nonsense, is still looking dangerous and trying to create whilst being one of our future blue chip players.

The rest I agree with and can * off.

My point is sure he is definitely in our premiership team but we need to make it known that players are not in a golden ticket club and frankly, he has not looked dangerous at all. The first half today I thought he was the sub. He was non existent against Fremantle and Geelong. I think a couple of weeks in the Sanfl to wake him up is not the worst idea.

At this stage - does it really matter? 0-4 and season is done.

Want the following to happen:

1. Give Curtin/Edwards/Ryan/Dowling - their debut and 3-5 (minimum) games in a row.

2. Discuss with list management what our plans are for our soon to be uncontracted fringe players. Cook, Hamill, Berry, McHenry, Sholl, Himmelberg, Gollant and Parnell.

Lets try and avoid a James Rowe / Ben Davis situation eh Nicks?

Pity no SANFL game this week, Nicks has an excuse not to make changes.

Out: Burgess, Parnell, McHenry, Berry
In: Dowling, Curtin, Ryan, Pedlar

What am I kidding, we are ****ed, what does it matter

He looked very good against Geelong, clunking contested marks, and should have kicked three, seemed very dangerous as an option. Was rather shocked that he got subbed off, but I haven't followed him specifically, I just notice when players do well against the Cats.

Looking at the stats, he did take 8 marks that game, not too shabby for a key forward!

Then again, that Rd 1 win the Crows had over Geelong I think in 2021, Frampton looked like Carey reincarnate too. We possibly have an ability to make a random tall look better than they really are.

In the off season it looked like we were developing this incredible list of players we would cycle through the midfield and we would be so dynamic - no idea where that plan went. Instead we now have all these great forward flanks.

I feel like Burgess doesnt add enough as second ruck that we should be hung up on that, maybe something like Borlase second rucks from the backline and we go in shorter/faster up front with all these guys.
