Did you watch the game? Or just going on what some have posted in here?

Ladhams did sweet * all last week.
Even worse then Reid part timer not even a 4th ruck choice did the damage then.

Ladhams was ok until he got injured.

Mind you Ladhams is considered Swans 3rd ruck choice.

English form is not fine at the moment.

His tap work is fine. Probably the best it’s been all season.

I think the poster you quoted was being sarcastic though.

In: Naughton, Hunter, Zaine Cordy/Schache to play defense, Vandermeer/McLean to play forward
Out: Sweet, Weightman, Williams, Alex Keath
What planet do you live on? Vandermeer has shown absolutely nothing this year, he doesn't deserve to be playing senior football. The most overrated player on the list...

I do agree that Weightman needs to come out as he has gone missing ever since that elbow injury..

I live on the same planet you do my friend.

It's either Vandermeer or Scott and I know I'd get plenty of warriors getting the pitch forks ready if I recommended Scott.

Planning for this game

As good as their midfield is we just back ours in but we need have a plan in the centre bounce if Gawn and Jackson get on top.

I would be putting Bailey on the wing on Langdon if he can win that battle it could be decisive.

Their attack is o/k but not great hopefully we can limit their scoring. Fritsch is the biggest danger and probably gets Buku or Hannan.

The most planning needs to go into their defence and our forward entries. This is a real concern we were far from good against the saints and beat them on quantity not quality of entries The dees defence is far superior to the saints.

When we beat them last season we played Hannan as a defensive forward on May and made Lever more accountable.

If Bont can dominate like last week for the whole game that will solve a lot our problems.

In: Naughton
Out: McNeill

Sweet very average around the ground but he put in some big chases against the saints when others were cruising, I think he stays in.

Bruce was poor but I reckon they'll back him in to block and play a defensive fwd role allowing one of Marra or Naughts to get off the leash.

To my eye he was comfortably beating both Ryder and Marshall. But around the ground he was just way below his normal standard.

Yeah, was kind of surprised with his ruckwork considering how poor he’s been around the ground.

Far more aggressive in his leap and getting over both rucks in most CB contests. Hopefully we see it more regularly moving forward.

Still gets pushed off it at stoppages, but there’s regular improvement so just a matter of time till it’s not an issue.

I don’t think there’s anything in our form the last 3 weeks that suggests we can beat the Dees if they decide to turn up on the night.

Our best chance is that we play a decent brand for as much of the game as we can, probably 2-3qtrs, capitalise on our chance up fwd and hope the Dees have an off night.

At no stage of the Beverage era have I ever thought we weren’t a chance to beat a team, but that’s changed after the too many shithouse performances this season.

I can see us getting beaten comfortably.

Fair point. We've never been in with less than a 10% chance - maybe even 20% - since 2015.
And we are the joker in the deck for the remaining 5 rounds. No club can count on the 4 points because our very best is good enough to beat any of them.

I rate us about a 30-35% chance. Not insignificant. Play them 10 times in this situation, we win 3.
A lot will depend on how well Naughton has recovered after covid. The rest will depend on the application and desperation we show over a full four quarters.

We always turned up and always fought games out. Just haven’t seen it enough this year.

I’m not as generous as you DW. I don’t give us much of a chance at all. Not because we CAN’T beat them, but i can’t see the trend of us not turning up for games changing this week.
