If any week is a good one to try White as back-up ruck then it might be next week.

Give one of the ruckman a rest, let White support the remaining ruck, and bring in Karnezis to resurrect our putrid forward line.
Putrid forward line? The one that kicked 17 goals from 51 entries? o_O

That was the least of our concerns today.

I hesitate, and hesitate markedly to contemplate it but. . . .

I'm remembering a few years back when Cloke was out for quite a few weeks, we actually had the most amazing spread of goalkickers - usually over 9 per game.

I'm loathe to kick the big bloke back to the ressies but his form and attitude have become so blatantly poor that teams simply aren't respecting our forward line and loading up in the middle.

It would require a massive restructuring but it could work, I still don't want us to do it but there you go that's how poor an image he is giving opposing coaches.
But remember 2012 with Dawes? We kept him in and kept him in when he clearly needed a run in the two's to find form. By the time we did it was too late in the season.

Rest Cloke and make him work for it in he two's. He'll kick a bag and find some touch. Bring in PK and watch him and White go at it. It'd be interesting to see them working together.

Also drop Young. I don't care who for. I don't like the style of footy he plays and he doesn't kick well enough to make up for his softness.

Think Blair might miss with suspension unfortunately. Brown out. Reckon Frost may struggle to come up. Could see Grundy getting a rest too (would only do that if Frost plays, 3 changes is enough).

Then In's would be Karnezis for Blair, Keeffe for Brown and I'd like to see more of Adams so he can come in for Grundy. White to do second ruck work, Karnezis forward and Goldsack back if needed.

I haven't checked the stats, but I'd say that our ratio of goals to forward entries was extremely good.

My post was more directed at the key forwards and marking targets. We took a total of 9 marks inside 50 (more than half by non-KPP's) after just 8 total last week against Adelaide. The smalls were massive tonight plus we had our best kicking effort for goal this week*, which got us the win.

But that doesn't disguise our weakness with marking targets. Karnezis should help in this area.

*EDIT: We kicked 17 goals in 24 scoring shots vs. season average of just over 11 goals in almost 26 scoring shots. So normally we would have ended up with only about 10 goals. Today the unusual accuracy got us over the line, but it should not cover up our clear deficiencies up forward.

Fell on the ground and popped his shoulder. His brother received a hit in the stomach from Blair on about a 1/4 backswing and not only went down like a sack of sh!t, but proceeded to limp off to the bench. Unfortunately the Brown's just aren't made quite right

I still remember all the abuse I copped for suggesting to trade Brown a few years ago

Wonder if more people will start to come around to it now, if he has much currency left.

Ins: Armstrong, Karnesis, Adams
Outs: Blair, Witts/Grundy, Brown

Sub: Adams

Don't think we need Keeffe if Frost comes up. We can always send a Goldsack back and Toovey did well playing tall

He's been riding on his job on Riewoldt in the 2010 final for a long time. Starting to wear thin.

Wouldn't have been me blaze,I totally agree.

Brown is injury prone and a very average footballer
