The Chicago Bears 2022 SOS (.571) was so brutal, the difference between their SOS and the 2nd toughest SOS (NYJ's .538) is LARGER then the difference between the 2nd toughest SOS and the 17th toughest SOS (NO's .507)

Source:

Enjoy the 1st overall pick CHI.
A .571 SOS is not much easier then playing a 10-7 team (.588) every week.

CHI's (.571) minus NYJ's (.538) = .033 points
NYJ's (.538) minus NO's (.507) = .031 points

Think he’s gone a little defensive line cray cray a bit here but interesting nonetheless

Havent watched it myself, just posting for you guys coz im such a great guy

Seen some in Bears media suggest the Bears should ask for Brian Burns + for pick #1 (the thought being if they are going to move all the way back to #9 they would need a pass rusher in a trade for them to pass on Will Anderson). I would be upset if we traded Burns or DJ Moore in any package.

90% of media reports I’ve read about trading pick 1 are fantasy land stuff.
I read one today where we traded 1 to Indy who gave us 4 and a host of futures and a 2nd, and then we traded on 4 to Carolina for a similar bevy

The Chicago Bears ranked #2 in Pass Block win rate this season, yet Justin Fields finished with the 36th best PFF passing grade, ranked 31st in comp %, 25th in Passer Rating and 32nd in Interception %. Unless their scouts hate the QBs, they should absolutely take one at #1 in this year's draft.

As we have now seen for a decade, there is no better value than a good QB on a rookie contract.

Additionally, I see a lot of "well Fields might not get you a 1st round pick back in a trade" as a reason not to do it.

If you actually believe Fields isn't worth a 1st, why would you roll with him, instead of taking a QB at #1 Overall?

IDC about the picks, but losing DJ hurts a lot. Such an underrated gun WR and great team guy. Take care of him Bears

Desperately needed a WR after Claypool showed sfa. Another piece added. Don’t think either side can complain about this trade. Seems about right to me.

Depends, we need to sort WR out somehow ASAP coz got nothing with DJ gone.

I don't know feels to me like Chicago easily won this trade.

What's the point in getting a top end QB if he has no weapons.

Carolina also traded away next years first which I feel has a legitimate chance of being pick 1-5.

I'm also not really sold on C.J Stroud who I believe is who they will take.

Bryce Young has more talent, the only question is his height.

Feels like the start of being a relevant team again, but I also think that every 5 years or new GM.
Being a Bears fan is so frustrating at times but got to think it’ll turn around eventually.
Poles has so many holes to fill and a pretty weak FA class but the man seems to know what he’s doing unlike his predecessors….
Hoping he nails those draft picks and we keep building.
Bear Down.
