I’d like to think we’d take one of the 3 QB prospects or at minimum Marvin Harrison jnr.Chicago should stick with Fields, at least for 1 more year.
Trade down from 1 to 2 with Washington.
Then trade down again from 2 to 6~.
Remember you also have pick 9.
Use this draft to pick up a bunch of extra 2nd rounders and future 1sts. Absolutely fill your roster with young talent.
Then next year, if Fields isn't the guy, you've got a bunch of extra 1sts you can use to get your QB, and a roster that is ready to win now.
I’d like to think we’d take one of the 3 QB prospects or at minimum Marvin Harrison jnr.
Whist I know what your point is, I’d be devo if they did it and missed the cream.
If we go Williams, we can trade Fields and pick up draft capital
And hell be worth even less next year.If you're trading Fields, you'll get pennies on the dollar for him. At most a 3rd round pick.
I’m no expert but I’m not sold on Maye. Not sure if it’s the NC connections but I get Trubisky vibes all over from him.I think with Kingsbury going to the Commies they will have a crack at pick 1. Will come down to if the Bears think Maye is in the same ball park. Next to no chance Fields is the starter imo, next years QB class looks bad. Bears will take a QB at either 1 or 2.
Snippet said:However, Breer totally shot down chances of Fields' return as quarterback when he repeated something being reported last week.
"I think some of the guys who went through there (Halas Hall) and did interviews, did their offensive coordinator interviews, one of the things that excitied them about the job was the chance to take Caleb Williams," Breer said.
No, not necessarily.Bears will take a QB at either 1 or 2.
No, not necessarily.
Bears might use pick 2 on MHJ, or (more likely) trade down from 2 to somewhere between 5-8. Then use one of their two top 10 picks to take a QB that slides (like Daniels/Maye/Penix), and the other on the top LT on the board (likely Alt or Fashanu).
Daniels won't make it past Atlanta at #8. Think he'll go earlier than that too. Taking Penix in the first round with his injury history is too risky for my liking.
That's what I mean when I said he'll go earlier than that. Someone like Atlanta would likely have to trade up. 8 is the absolute floor but he will highly likely go earlier.Daniels isn’t making it past 4. If he gets past New England that means they took mjh which means cardinals will be looking to trade down.
Would be good for us if Williams Maye and Daniel’s are gone in the top 6.
Might give us some Fields currency
The issue is It's hard to find a place for him right now honestly, that's the problem. Can rule out the Raiders with Getsy signing there. Can't pin point a spot other than maybe Atlanta where he'd be the starter.
I don't think the Broncos and Payton are interested, think Sean wants a gun QB or his own rookie to bring along.
Can't see the Steelers being interested.
Seattle maybe if they move off Geno? They are shrewd operators though, can't see them trading for a failed QB. Schneider probably backs himself to find one in the draft.
Only got one year of guaranteed money left. The issue with Fields is the same as what they just had with Jones however. Rookie QB at the end of his deal, and you end up paying a guy you shouldn't. Can't see them making that same mistake twice.Giants....think theyre ****ed with Jones's contract and have to live thru it
Dunno if he’ll slide with the Bears Comms and Patriots all needing upgrades.FWIW I reckon Maye will slide pre-draft.
