Guaranteed Johnson would bring with him a FO guy from Detroit.Bit of news that ive heard today:
Bears will be going after an offensive head coach, Williams development is the #1 priority. = smart
Bears wont fire Poles unless they fall for a coach who demands he goes. This I found very interesting. So essentially Poles has no say in the matter of who they select. Why keep him then if you dont trust him to make a HC decision?
Ben Johnson has flagged interest in the Bears job again. You'd think Johnson would want to bring his own GM in from Detroit if the Bears brass has their heart set on him, meaning, Poles better get grovelling to Johnson if he wants to stay.
The Belichick tree has been proven shite over the past 20 years, pretty much nothing but fails. The Campbell tree has to start somewhere and there is nothing to say it will be like Belichick's, decent chance both Johnson and Glenn could both be gone this pre season.Guaranteed Johnson would bring with him a FO guy from Detroit.
Let's hope that doesnt end up like those teams who hire a Pats coach and he brings with them a Pats FO he worked with.
Still think theres room for leeway once all the interviews start happening, they may end up going a different way.
Personally, the Bears should copy the Lions rather than hire away their guys. I always find that weird, div rivals.
Copying the Lions...as in, hire former Bears guys thruout the coaching staff and front office
True. But still depends how he interviews too. He could be a total knob tho. Like making all those demands last season and now this season...who does he think he is type criticism ive read on X.The Belichick tree has been proven shite over the past 20 years, pretty much nothing but fails. Dave Kaplan (been covering the Bears for years) was the one I heard the rumour from the other day that Vrabel and Dimitroff (Former Falcons GM) will both be in New England next year.True. I dont mind the other idea of Vrabel as leader and up and coming OC guy
Bears are interviewing every man and his dog and fair enough, tbh I think there are plenty on their list that are worse than McCarthy. He gets a bad rap and isnt as bad as a lot of people make him out to be. Wouldnt be my number 1 or anything but id prefer him to just about any defensive coach I think.Sources: Bears ask to talk to Cowboys' McCarthy
The Bears have requested permission to interview Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy and are awaiting a response from Dallas, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Todd Archer on Monday.www.espn.com
WTF …. Why would they chase him ??
Including a ****ing front office guy from Denver.Bears are interviewing every man and his dog and fair enough, tbh I think there are plenty on their list that are worse than McCarthy. 13 interviews is too many.
If we had to go defensive ( and it’s time we didn’t ) I’d prefer Flores over McCarthy.
If you listen to what Ryan Fitzpatrick said about Flores yesterday (I posted it in the GM and HC thread) I wouldnt want any part of him in Chicago.Including a ****ing front office guy from Denver.
