Something like, with a big grin on his face: 'I can tell you he won't be playing for us, no. He'll be playing for, I don't know, Sturt?'. It sounded emphatic and final.

Wow, if I was a player I don't think there could be much more deflating and nasty than that. It was like an utter write-off.

Fair to say that Thurstans' career is over?

Thurstans career was over a few weeks back for several reasons that need not be delved into again on this board.
