In regards to the Lennon for Yarran swap, it wouldn't be the worst trade.
Lennon is 20 years old and no one knows whether or not he will be a good/consistent player, it's anyone's guess at this stage of his career.
Has shown a little bit, but nothing to rave on about.
Yarran on the other hand has shown a fair bit, albeit 2 years ago now.
There is no guarantee that he will get back to that kind of form.

I think you're all a little special. Not one mention of Chris Yarran on this page. Being that this thread is all about Chris Yarran, please get back on topic.

I would be happy with Yarran at Richmond. Explosive at his best. Wouldn't pay a first round pick though due to his worst, which this year was a lot more common than his best.

Yarran = Contracted
Lennon = Out of Contract

IF Lennon was offered straight up for Yarran, I would be happy. I can see why Richmond fans wouldn't be, but if he wanted to leave, you would have to be happy getting something like Yarran... Either that or PSD.

Well we can either use Lennon to help us get Yarran, or risk losing him to the PSD where you guys have the first pick.
Another reason why it probably wouldn't be the worst trade.
I think Lennon is gone personally. I don't have any inside info or anything, just a gut feel.

Who said Lennon's leaving?

Yeah, it was difficult living through that Carlton dynasty. LMFAO
Richmond have nothing on Carlton, Carlton have more wins against them, Carlton have more flags than them

i don't know why some Richmond fans act all high and mighty just because they make the Finals a few times, it is nice to make it one year, but three years later, at least win one

end of the day if you haven't won the Premiership that year, you are in the same position as the 16 other teams that didn't win

Who said Lennon's leaving?
I said "if".

I was simply replying to someone with a hypothetical on why the trade wouldn't be so bad for both groups of supporters IF that was the scenario.

He could sign with Richmond and we can look back at this hypothetical as nothing.

I actually think he will stay a Tiger Capitano_Cotch

Only thing I am holding onto is that I am family friends with one of his best mates from high school (yes, yes, I know - hear me out) and apparently he isn't really passionate about football - never has been. In that case, he might just follow the money.

In before Lennon signs tomorrow.

i meant draft number, but that is only proven in hindsight whether a pick was right or wrong at the time. If clubs had a crystal ball, there would be no bad picks at all.

Very true. This thread is going to the dogs.

Picks are worth the player in the end. SO for years pick 6 was terrible! In the typical year the best player doesn't go 1. But overall the higher the pick the more likely a better player.

And
Yarran to the RFC for a pick between 1 and 60. Probably round 2 I'd guess. But if Lennon really wants to leave then swap players and picks.

Who said Lennon's leaving?
some carlton flog trying to get their hopes up, it started here then spread to the media. Nowhere have the rumors been coming out of RFC, from what ive heard (IIRC) we're offering slightly under what he wants and the reason we've done that is we may not have that full amount left if trades are pulled off. If there's space, he'll get that little bit he wants
