Christensen wants out of Geelong for "personal reasons"

If the QLD clubs dont want to trade, let him go in the PSD. Screw him and screw the QLD clubs. Gold Coast have already ripped us off once with their Ablett undermining. Christiansen then lets us know during trade week that he wants to move (not before when we could have factored it into our trading strategy) and tells the club that it is only GC or Brisbane. Let him go to St Kilda rather than a club he has demanded for shitty picks!

Jeez, you can do a lot more with a top 30 pick than you can with no pick at all. It's not a fun situation to be in, I'll give you that, but something is definitely better than nothing.

Yea pretty much if he goes to the PSD you definitely lose out (get nothing) and we potentially lose out by another team picking him before us. Therefore you guys are probably going to be accepting unders if a trade is done with us. So sorry cats fans if it happens, but that's the way the cookie crumbles in this situation. At least it's not a x5 situation like us last year.

On a side note, a white knight might come through and offer a deal that both Geelong and Allen accept (see Mitch Clark trade to Melbourne).

thanks for the clarification!

Here's hoping...
West Coast will keep an eye on developments with disgruntled Geelong midfielder Allen Christensen, with the club keen on pursuing the 2011 premiership player if he is open to a move to Perth.

Vozzo said he had held preliminary discussions with Geelong about the possibility of trading for Christensen.

"We've also contacted his (Christensen's) management and had some discussions with them as well," Vozzo said.

"We're trying to work out that very question (on whether he might come to Perth).

See your point. However, despite what the uninformed here say, Bundy has as much - perhaps more- upside than Beams. If you give your first two picks to Collingwood for Beams and expect us to take the remains I'd be prepared to suck it up and let him go to the Saints. At least it will send a clear message to anyone else who attempts a stunt like this.

Perhaps the GC will be the salvation for both parties.

I'm yet to see what the source of GC refusing to trade pick 15 for Bundy is, but if it's true, it's a stupid move.

Yes, it's a first round pick, but surely we could use our first pick on a young gun, and use 15 on Allen 'Ready to go, easily best 22, super talented mid-fielder' Christensen? Unless the Suns have something else up their sleeve, I'm honestly confused why they'd let Bundy slip into Brisbane's hands.

Brilliant

Geez a lot of overrating on this thread christensen is shorter than a 13 year old kid let's keep it realistic.
If that's the case tell your club NOT to go after him!

That would explain why he needs to be away from Geelong. Not an easy thing to deal with in a (big) small town.
The girl he has meant to have had the affair with is now in the family way and her relatives have been making Allen's life a misery.

Just don't know if leaving the state and unborn child behind it the best course of action. Leave Lara and move to Torquey like 80% of the club can still be part of childs life if wish to be that way.

Whatever the problem is, I think it would be a shame if takes the easy way out and runs interstate.

Bundy's departure would be a huge loss for the Cats. Just as we are about to reap the benefits of years of development he appears to want to jump ship for what appear tenuous reasons.

Actually think he could be a better pick-up for Brisbane than Beams if they snag him.

Beams is a Rolls Royce. Christensen is a Ford Mondeo with mechanical problems.

I may be way off, and please tell me if i am.
But I swear I heard somewhere a while back that he had a gambling problem.

Not sure how thats relevant to Qld, they still have casinos and TABs over there...

Was it page one of this BigFooty thread?

It sounds like the losing gamble was going bareback.
