Dees are not getting a top 5 player from a club unless they want to leave or it's a salary cap issue.

McKay and TDK would not want to join Melbourne in its current state.

Keep the bloke and watch your club implode, I give it a year before you trade him.
lol at your attempt to think that the dees don't have the trading power 🤣 he's contracted.

Top 5 player or stockpile of picks.

Sorry mate you aren't getting him with Mcinnis and a 3rd rounder.

I can't wait to see the reaction when he gets traded and you get no where near what you want.

Better work than playing the drugs and gambling card. Yawn. You must be fun at parties.
Very fun. Not as fun as Oliver though.

Playing the drugs and gambling card? So your well publicised poor culture has nothing to do with your best player asking for a trade and shouldn't be mentioned?

Yeh not related at all, let's keep it hush hush. Classic Dees.

10,16,73 and 35 the next year for
Gibbs, 77 and 21,39 the next year

So about 1700 difference in points and they got a player, that puts Gibbs at pick 6 or 7 in value

Hardly comparable in value are Trac and Gibbs
If i was a club trading for Trac, I would be showing what after the age Trac is Judd, Martin , Carey, Ablett jnr did.
I think on average about 20% of their career brownlow votes ( apart from Ablett).
I can remember after his year off Carey didn't have anywhere near the same muscle definition, Dusty also has seemingly shrunk after he hurt his liver or kidney in 2021.
I would be concerned about Tracs recovery.
But I guess Melbourne can say to a club if you are concerned, don't make a trade offer then.

Where he ends up, who knows?

Good job working that out, genius. Nobody said it was a literal equivalent trade in terms of points and whatever arbitrary nonsense you think matters. Points didn't even exist 10 years ago, but since the AFL introduced them and allocated subjective values people like you are now using them as an objective measure of pick value? What a laugh.

Melbourne have the trade power because they can just keep disgruntled petracca to his contract, but if he wants one of the big Melbourne clubs they simply don’t have much draft capital to offer.
So the question is whether Melbourne gets something really decent for him now or hope to hell he doesn’t get injured again and is totally professional this upcoming season, because at 30 he’d want to have torn the comp up to get the same deal offered

They don’t have the trading power.

If he nominates Carlton, I hope we give a second round pick for him, and tell them to take it or leave it. We don’t need him, and it will only lead to the downfall of Melbourne if he stays.
you're a bottom 8 team that squeezed into the finals and will be out in a week. Stop talking like you're in the window.

You've got Ollie bloody Hollands in your best 22 😆

So yes, you do need good players

Some may call that a great culture, my 90 year old Grandma wouldn’t though.

Seriously who the **** cares about that stuff this day and age.

It’s a tough one. Melbourne deserve to ask for plenty for him.. but then it’s almost just not worth it for the other club. Gonna be a fun trade period.

Actually, we’re a top 8 team that finished in 8th because we won more games than 10 other sides after the Home & Away season.

Careful, Danny. Could be a long few weeks…don’t tire yourself out too early.

carltons first, future first and harry mckay as steak knives might turn melbourne's head but they probably still refuse to let petracca walk.

Nah i'm in the position of wanting to trade him because I recognise we're rebuilding.

But people have lost their marbles if they think he'll come cheaply.

Can’t be a bottom 8 team if we are in the Top 8. Melbourne on the other hand are a bottom eight side, and that is mainly due to players with skill issues.

Yeah and you guys have Jack Billings in your best 22. So what?

We do need Petracca. I’d rather keep the same list and go to the draft than get a player who got injured and has not played a game since. Huge liability for any team.

Best 22 with half our list injured. You guys got plenty of duds in your best 22 if you want to take that logic to the bank.

That’s fine, stick with that narrative around here.

Go bother another board if you want to post the other trolling garbage.

classic fallacy ridden counter argument

No bother, I sleep well

The reports are saying the playing group don't want Petracca back to the club.

Once it gets to these type of levels it just can't be saved.

Collingwood had issues with Beams, playing group didn't want him back, I can't imagine what would have happened if we brought him back.
