Of course picking Paddy McCartin over Petracca was a mistake. it however doesn't diminish the fact some of character traits identified pre-draft are rearing it head again.

dayne beams was the same age and got traded for pick 18 and a future first.

i would suggest beams would have been lucky to be half the player petracca was when he got traded.

I oppose trading anyone who is opposed to being traded, if we did that I would find it hard to support the club

Kennedy didn’t want to go but he was a young, unestablished player

To trade McKay or TDK out would just feel wrong, they both feel so integrated as Carlton players

But, it would be a net gain for our list short term

Logically it makes sense, emotionally it’s hard to come to terms with

Yeah you’re right! Charlie only kicked 81 last year. We need two Coleman medalists and definitely don’t need one of the best players in the competition in the middle. Wouldn’t enhance our chances at all. Campo boys are the answer! Lucas Camporeale pick 100 in the rookie draft will get us to glory!

I love H as much as the next bloke and he is absolutely critical to our side at present but I would assert adding a Bont, Trac, Daicos tier player would instantly make us better at the cost of McKay
