I listened to that press conference and never once did I hear that Hawthorn changed anything because the players were dispirited about the transition. I heard that players played a dispirited game, but I do not remember Clarkson related that he and Mitchell.

This is propaganda of North Korean quality. Even an experienced crew from the Chinese state media would have difficulty keeping up with our own football reporters.

Clarko is a multi-millionaire. He has enough money.

Having money means you can have that other precious commodity, time.

My point is more that there will be plenty of offers, and they will try to entice him with big $$ contracts.
4 years at 1.2 or more is nothing to sneeze at.
And if the AFL comes knocking to have him go up to QLD to do a job at GC, then there will be added incentive to build something enduring

Not saying this will happen, but more so that the offers will come thick and fast

Thought it was interesting as well.

Maybe Mitchell indicated that he would like Clarkson away from the club in 2022. Just because of all the speculation that would bring with him trying to coach with Clarkson in the background. Media have decided that he said next year

All these F Whits that work in media communication do not report what they hear but what they wish/think they heard. It’s like they think only they have ears.

Correct.

The last time I was at the Hawk shop at Waverley the girl that served me was a Geelong supporter, I even jokingly asked her could I be served by normal person.

So it’s possible that someone at the club could leek and not really give a sh*t because He/She does not support us.

This is why I've always believed that Hawthorn crested tattoos should be mandatory to work for the HFC

As much as I'm excited about Sam taking over as our coach , I don't want Clarko to walk away from HFC for good. Would love his presence around the club at some form or capacity, don't wanna see him coaching some other mob.
There's always gonna be teething problems with these sort of arrangements but We have 18 months to get it right.
Just gotta make sure that we don't become the Carcass the media feed from.

Clarko was a mad Pies supporter as a kid, so no doubt they'd be playing that card. But if he was going to coach anywhere down the track you'd think it would be North. Esp as that's where his mentor John Kennedy Sr ended up

But it doesn't explain all the leaks which I think has more to do the supposed fallout between Reeves and Clarko, and certain people at the club not happy that he didn't walk.

"Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has stated that he and Sam Mitchell have made a mistake in a statement made earlier today".

Possibly - and IF/IF, there actually is someone blabbering to Caro et all, which I maintain is highly unlikely/implausible, then specifically after Clarko's press conference this morning - if they haven't left already, they should be packing their box of belongings ASAP...!!!

Although he/she (assuming they exist) may still survive, when Caro announces her inevitable 'victory speech' on the next Footy Classified show - which will hopefully be the end of this ludicrous media invented drama....
