That's it. That's our media in a nutshell right there.View attachment 1184491
Wow. Next they will start quoting individual letters in order to create new words. I listened to that press conference and never once did I hear that Hawthorn changed anything because the players were dispirited about the transition. I heard that players played a dispirited game, but I do not remember Clarkson related that he and Mitchell.
This is propaganda of North Korean quality. Even an experienced crew from the Chinese state media would have difficulty keeping up with our own football reporters.
do you reckon there might be a few nervouus nellies at present? And as you may or not be aware - most NDA's generally provide the employer 'the option' for legal recourse if the employee is in breach of any of the conditions stated therein...
Particularly when one has had 10+ years at something like $1M per year.
Clarko is a multi-millionaire. He has enough money.
Having money means you can have that other precious commodity, time.
is that a back hander to the board ?A quote from Sam Mitchell on Wednesday 21st July 2021
"At the end of the day, one thing that you could never say about either myself or Alastair Clarkson is we don't have absolute loyalty to the Hawthorn football club."
Thought it was interesting as well. One thing I did find interesting is when Clarko said "my time at the Hawthorn FC will finish in a senior coaching capacity at the end of next year"
Dont want to read to much into it, but very interesting choice of words.......
Board, President, Director of Coaching......??

All these F Whits that work in media communication do not report what they hear but what they wish/think they heard. It’s like they think only they have ears.View attachment 1184491

This is why I've always believed that Hawthorn crested tattoos should be mandatory to work for the HFCCorrect.
The last time I was at the Hawk shop at Waverley the girl that served me was a Geelong supporter, I even jokingly asked her could I be served by normal person.
So it’s possible that someone at the club could leek and not really give a sh*t because He/She does not support us.

Not enough power! How about premier?Prime Minister.
Clarko was a mad Pies supporter as a kid, so no doubt they'd be playing that card. But if he was going to coach anywhere down the track you'd think it would be North. Esp as that's where his mentor John Kennedy Sr ended up
Do you mean, on the part of the media, or from within?
But it doesn't explain all the leaks which I think has more to do the supposed fallout between Reeves and Clarko, and certain people at the club not happy that he didn't walk.
Not only F what the media say Flukey but also the peanut gallery that start rumours or that add fuel to them.fu** what the media says from now on.
I know our club is in good shape and working to a plan that best suits the HFC.
It actually does not matter what anyone outside the club thinks of it.
Barracking for a story, not reporting facts. As brilliant as Clarkson was today, I was just in the car as it turned 6pm and heard the news update....
"Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has stated that he and Sam Mitchell have made a mistake in a statement made earlier today".
You can't win with these fu**heads.
No current season stats available
Jordan uses Clarko a lotJust heard a very little of the show on Football Nation with Jordan Lewis being asked his insight.
Spoke about it quite positively in the piece I heard but what was telling/jarring was the names he used, ie. "Sam", "Sammy" and "Clarkson" - not Clarko or Alastair. Might be me reading too much into it but struck a chord.
