Did a Carlton ITK tell you that?

Harry is on record having said that.

I'd rather Carlton posters keep the comments of ITK posters off other boards. There are a couple on the Carlton board who are rarely wrong and put out tidbits well before the media gets a sniff of them. We're lucky we have them as contributors and other posters just seem to get wound up about it.

We'd rather it too - and not just Carlton supporters.

Hence we've added a new rule on this board with regards to ITK posters.

See the new rule here:

I know this is off topic but are you saying Harry doesnt want to play with Ben or just that it isnt motivating factor for him?

I ask because im quite keen on Ben and would love to get him across to Princes Park.
Both brothers said they wanted to play for different teams in their draft year. Things can change in 5 years, I'd like for us to bring Ben in soon too.

Harry said that they didn't want to play at the same club. As PC said above, things can change, but that's the only thing on record about the matter.

It wasn't a Carlton poster that brought up McKay. Surely a few short posts on the topic shouldn't be a bother.

You need to go back 3 or 4 quotes to get to a Melb fan, it's off topic and against the rules. Carlton fans continually ruin this thread trying to make it about Carlton.

It's actually bloody boring

No it's not. Otherwise, the Carlton Mods would remind us of the 'rules' and strictly enforce them on the other....

Sorry, a bit of my sandwich just flew out.

It would be nice if Melbourne fans would discuss our players in a different thread
He was comparing the situation of the player this thread is about to another player, putting a perspective on the situation. Very on topic

Discussing whether the McKay brothers want to play together or not and getting Ben to Carlton is way off topic

Please stay on topic, this thread is about Clayton Oliver, not what other people are saying.

I'm personally not a huge fan, would much rather Merrett or Kelly.

No.

Goodwin has great man management skills and is universally liked and respected by the MFC playing list. He is empathetic but tough when necessary.

Steven May directly credits Goodwin for the massive turn around in his form this year:

Demons coach Simon Goodwin proved the catalyst for change, even if May originally reacted angrily to the tough love and even briefly wondered, 'Why does he hate me?'.

"I was a bit surprised, because he got me down to the club and I thought he had my back, but he just hit me between the eyes and told me I needed to start owning up to my actions," May told AFL.com.au.

"I thought I needed someone to put an arm around me … but he just wanted to be honest. We had a hard talk, man to man, and he said he was behind me and wanted to support me."

Christian Petracca was reported to be unhappy following his end of year interview last year but took the advice provided and knuckled down over summer and delivered a fantastic season as a result.

Clayton Oliver is a great young player - the most skillful at MFC since Robert Flower (Jakovich and pre-injury Schwarz gave it a brief shake and Petracca may come past). He will have received direct and honest feedback about more team oriented play and this was reflected in his 5th in the BnF behind Jack Viney. It's up to Clarrie whether he can take this constructive feedback on board and come back an even more effective player for MFC in 2021.

Goodwin's coaching future is on the line next year - we've got a great list that needs to play unselfishly as a team - he needs to get the best out of the players and he's going about it the right way.

Oliver definitely does not feel the same way about Goodwin.

Your personal preference or who you think Carlton should target is probably a discussion for the Carlton board. This isn’t the thread for Merrett or Kelly.

Melbourne won’t be trading Oliver unless a too good of a trade offer comes and I highly doubt that comes.

It wasn't a Carlton poster who brought this topic up and there were a few short posts about it. I agree it's off topic, but there's now as many posts from you guys complaining about it than there were posts about it to begin with. Move on.
I didn’t say a Carlton poster brought the topic up, but it’s off topic.
