Melbourne cant give him up for less than a top 10 pick surely, even with the new club taking the whole contract.
Hes one of the top few players in the comp and clearly his issues this year were largely due to a lack of a pre-season

Has he been on the gear all year though?
1.1-1.3mil is not a big pay packet if he can get back to close to where he was, thats arguably unders
Again no one is paying a top 10 pick for the "if"

He clearly was on the gear a lot last year with his 10 week hamstring strain which also went into the offseason where he was then unfit and had his worst season since he entered the league,

Talent is there correct no one is overpaying for the "if"

Melbourne should give up what should be a top 10 pick for an "if" either

I believe the correct term is "hamstring awareness".

The denial from some in here over his clear off field issues is astounding
Yeah, it's bizarre how anyone can argue it's not a horrible horrible contract that makes him worthless.

Said ages ago, other ridiculous long term contracts will become just as bad as well but Oliver's is currently the pioneer.

TPP Clauses included as well,

No doubt if he cleans up his act he's a superstar but huge risk vs reward

Grabs ball, bombs ball.
Even at his best, he isnt worth 1.3 for 6 years.
Add in the off-field stuff and this contract was one of Melbourne's worst in history.

No matter what happens from here, Melbourne loses.

They get a nothing pick, and Oliver goes elsewhere and stars.
They get a half decent pick (nothing special) and pay a large chunk of his wage.
They hold him and watch the scrutiny come again next year.
