I could believe that the populace would democratically elect a potato at this point.
Nah, Dutton is no chance

This post is offensive to potatoes.Nah, Dutton is no chance
I would vote for an actual potato over him if given the choice. Which I guess brings us back to my original post.Nah, Dutton is no chance
A potato or Dutton sounds like an inferior rerun of Biden vs Trump

As much as the Taylor Swift types should be outed, at least she is an entertainer who does actually need to be in different places. Even worse are the business people who do this sort of shit just for meetings which could have been hosted online/in VR.Jenkins , be a lamb and buy some more offset credits will you? Yes just use my credit card.
Private jet carbon emissions by the wealthy: There's no flight shaming the rich
Private jets emit more than 33 million tonnes of greenhouse gases annually, apparently more than the whole country of Denmark emits in a year.www.traveller.com.au
People who tell ordinary citizens what they should be doing. People who buy credits, meaning they are paying money to have the carbon lumped onto ordinary people.
Newsflash. Fly a corporate jet and you are pumping out CO2.
If you are offsetting, you are paying money for someone else to take the blame. I for one am not buying into that scam.
The Taylor Swift types should be outed. Her plane alone puts out more CO2 than what the average "aussie or usa " citizen does for everything.
Recently the head of the Corporation i work for flew to Australia for 2 days. ( At least it was a commercial flight ). Meanwhile our corporation has directives to reduce our reportable emissions. A private jet would be reported against the company, a leased or commercial flight is not. A taxi to the airport is not. Thems the rules.
Anyone studying online disinformation will eventually come to the realization that much of it can be traced back to the oil and gas industry — specifically to groups like the Council for National Policy, created by and for oil and industrial interests. These networks have a deep history of fascist activity in the United States, where they were born primarily as a reactionary response to the New Deal and fears of "creeping socialism."
Brent Allpress is an architectural academic based in Melbourne, Australia, and has been studying these networks in detail for the last several years. He has collaborated with authors such as Anne Nelson (Shadow Network) and filmmakers Dr. Charles Kriel and Kat Gellein (People You May Know).
has come to believe that most all of the political conflict we are experiencing is rooted in the carbon crisis, of which the January 6th insurrection was one expression. Today, the conflict rages on as oil industry influence (going so far as to vacuum up psychological profiling data) determines whether, how quickly, and how well we may respond to the looming carbon disaster.
And cryptocurrency, by creating demand for even more energy and forestalling our response, is only making things worse. This is a must-listen session for a planet out of time.

Its why the climate forum annoyed me so much. It was such a unbelievably great opportunity for world leaders to make a stand and do it online and set an example for the rest of the world, yet instead they all traveled to Europe, many on private jets, while tweeting on their 2 month old smart phones how much carbon poor people are responsible for.
Yeah, it's not a great look for the leaders, but when you're getting up to government level then face to face is still acceptable IMO and they are **** all of the numbers of flights. Where it's really impacting is thousands(/millions?) of businesses around the world insisting everyone comes in for the Monday morning meeting instead of on Zoom. Or where you need to regularly fly out to existing clients instead of meeting online. This is more back to one of my current rants on governments thinking people going back to the office is a good thing to pursue. The effect of all that pointless travel on emissions is yet another reason why any who say it should have a lead battery jammed where the sun doesn't shine. As much as the Taylor Swift types should be outed, at least she is an entertainer who does actually need to be in different places. If you believe all in this article, Snowy Hydro 2.0 is shaping up as a right mess.

It all depends on how well, or how poorly, the scope was defined in the contract.Probably right, its an inefficient battery. But you won't get an electrical battery anywhere that big.
I truly can't understand why any government project , by either party , becomes a slush fund for contractors.
Seriously, can't they get a quote and hold them to it?
Well they definitely profiled you BTZ and got a winner
