My lasting memory will be of his commentary of Geelong's thrashing of Richmond early last season. As the cats put through 10 first-quarter goals, Clinton's commentary was electric, perfectly capturing the style of football the Cats played.
Me too. I have a copy of that game also.

Has hit home hard - Rest in Peace.

I just put on the Comeback game 2001 on DVD with his commentary.......shivers are running down my spine

Holy crap this is a real shock, for someone so young and in the prime of his career to suddenly pass away.

Truely a sad loss.......... RIP & condolence's to his Family.

I have always loved the 3AW commentary track on the 2003 Grand Final DVD when Rex is abusing some Collingwood supporter outside the commentary box and Clinton is pissing himself laughing.

:D Classic, I think I remember that part!

I think the only thing he loved more than Collingwood was the game itself.

And as passionate as he was for the pies he still was able to call any of their games impartially ...true professional.

One more thing about Clinton...

Back in the White Line Fever days, there were occassions where I'd emailed in questions that didn't get aired.

Yet half an hour or so after the show finished, I received a reply to my email from him.

He obviously sat there after the show finished answering emails anyway.

I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to Clinton's family and friends. He was my favourite commentator and as the host of White Line Fever, he set the standard of excellence in AFL reporting.

The sporting community has lost one of it's best commentators and as a journalist, he was up there with the best.

RIP Clinton Grybas. We will miss you.

I think the only thing he loved more than Collingwood was the game itself.

It's a credit to his professionalism that most would need to think or have no idea when the question of who he supported was raised.

In an industry dominated by bias he was truly a breathe of fresh air.

Clinton was living the dream of most football fans. He earned his place in the media through talent alone and it's why I'm sure he was so universally respected.

Tragic for his family & friends - very sad and a huge loss to those that loved his work.

That is class........for him to take the time to do that when he doesn't have too just raises the amount of respect I have for him.

Just found this in my Gmail box from years ago.... :(

He was never to important to talk to the everyman.

The saying 'You dont know what you had to its gone' is so true. It makes you realise just how much you appreciate people when they pass, yet take them for granted when they are with us.

RIP Clinton.
