Sam and the other coaches must read this thread after what I said last week about Massimo.

Do you have a spreadsheet for all the votes? or just the Hawks?

Interested to compare some of our players to others in similar roles. For example, Moore against some other prominent small forwards/half forwards, Sicily against other defenders/key defenders, etc.

Thanks for doing this by the way. It's really good to see.

Nuke, Moore and maaaaaybe Day. A fun two weeks to go.

As unlikely as it would be, anyone down to Worpel could still end up the (joint) winner of this.

It's really interesting to see it this way as you really see some patterns emerging.

Guys who hit a purple patch and get a series of votes vs those who are a bit more spread out.

Then you have the guys (like Worpel) who are basically best on ground or not in the votes at all and others who are never best on ground but consistently in the votes (like Impey).

In terms of times in the votes, it looks like this:

1. Moore 9
2. Sicily 8
3. Newcombe 8
4. Impey 7
5. Day 6

Yeah the AFL doesn't release coaches votes for the final 2 rounds until the awards night when they announce the overall winner.

Don't have to be dead to be stiff, aye Jack Scrimshaw.

Absolutely insane that he didn't poll a single vote this week.

totally agree re Scrimma, he was fabulous and IMO only Newk had more influence.
However, as stated, even performance, so no complaints from me!!!

Obviously passing Rowell who didn't even have a game helps, but in passing Treloar, JHF and Butters (who all played), Newcombe has moved into the top 10 for Coaches votes this year league wide.

Wow. Nuke almost lapped the entire field. Only Sicily and Moore managed to stay on the lead lap. Newcombe has had a really good season. One that, despite the end's disappointment, he should be very happy with. He was impressively consistent and reliable. And high quality.

Geez if Mac Andrew is worth $1.5 mill a year what will we have to pay to keep Newk when he is due for his next contract!

Naturally we won’t be giving him that kind of ludicrous money but he will definitely be the first Hawk ever to be on $1 mill+ a year (and deservedly so as he’s a gun).

What an amazing story arc from an apprentice chippie from Poowong who was a mid season pick to one of the absolute stars of the AFL in a few short years.

Giddy stuff!
