To help Dewy push the club forward - could David Noble have a break after his ordeal at Norf, and come to us as an advisor / CEO type.
So well respected in the game, and a great administrator.

I can't see any downside, unless he feels he needs more of a break than 10 weeks - or he's going to call it quits on all footy gigs.

Would be a huge plus to our club.
Has a great name as an administrator and the family are in Qld, would make sense to ask.

Perhaps we should enquire about scott clayton coming back too 🤮

Some of dews coaching moves and team selections leave a lot to be desired and it's been that way for a number of years. Like Andrew of stengle?? That backline is full of liabilities these days, it needs all the help it can get, not even more crazy match ups.

He’s a genius, just ask Evans or Cochrane. Who needs Clarkson 😱

There should be a conversation happening about the coaching situation.
If we can't move Dew on - then get some hardnosed support - like a Choco Williams

There are waaay too many short steppers in this team.

I can't see it being tolerated in any other club.

Luko,Sharpe Flanders and McPherson were soft as melted butter today. Disgraceful.

There was deliberate avoidance of body contact. That can't happen.

We made a brief comeback as it was player driven - not something Dew did

And Stuey - when your team is getting dicked and it's half time - DON'T GO TO THE CAMERAS FOR AN INTERVIEW FFS.....

One of the main reasons Dew was reappointed was apparently because of his player relationships
Losing Rankine who you get the feeling Dew invested significant time and energy into will be a huge blow for him
It opens the door I think to other players who will feel if Izak can walk for cash then I can too

he hasn't walked yet.........wait, and if he does, then come out with both guns blazing, and you'll be totally justified....

not having a go, just think it's a bit premature.;)

It's another strange Barrett opinion piece. Calling the suns season a loss as compared to Essendon and St kilda is a strange call.

The saints where expected to rise and potentially be a top 4 chance and failed to make finals.

Essendon, who made the finals last season, where also expected to make the finals or at least finish 8-10.

After Ben King went down pre season almost every journo had us finishing bottom 4 (Barrett had us 16th). Yes the end has been disappointing but it's the first time in a long time there has been hope at the suns.

The Media Mafia thought we were a basket case 3 years ago.
That keeping non-Qld players for longer than 2 or 4 years would be too difficult.
That we would be irrelevant.

If Dew has been a big factor in non-Qld players not just willing to stay but actually wanting to stay and build something, then the foundations are being laid.

That is a big tick. That was his main job that last few years, not the effing game plan. The game plan can be changed/tweaked in an off-season, but if players keep leaving after 2, 4 or 6 years then we get nowhere. No-Where.

The foundations are not established yet, but there is a good chance they will set. No one is seriously talking about Rowell, Ando or Hollands leaving the club anytime soon (even though Hollands spent most of the year in the VFL). Rankine was on-board until a much much higher offer came in and his family got in his ear about coming home. Rankine turned down more money from the Bombers than we were going to pay and the chance to headline Dreamtime at the 'G. Really? Really!

This is just another example of the day to day content creators having to put something out. Dew has had a very different job the last 3 years than the other coaches under the pump. More churn and burn, not enough analysis and trying to see the big picture.

If you want to get onto the same hamster wheel as these reactive turds, feel free.

The D-Day for Dew will come soon enough, but it ain't yet.

You can see the green shoots (Brendan Boltonism) BUT too often too many passengers and it’s usually the same passengers..

Majority of games we lost were at team selection or too slow in the coaches box to make changes!

It’s always the same 5/6 players week in week out digging in hard so if 1 or 2 of those have a bad day there’s a good chance the whole team has a bad day

The Clarkson effect.

TT Goldstein and now zurhaar all willing to stay at North because of Clarkson.

I definitely haven’t seen a Dew effect.
Yes we are generally keeping talent.. but ain’t bringing much in.

I wonder what could if been if the Suns seriously went after Clarko.

Would we have A grade talent lining up out the clubs gates

We probably wouldn't have got him, but would have ended up looking like Essendon.

This is poor.

What’s poor?
Not a single A grade talent is bashing down the door to join Clarkson then he bemoaned Dew for not being able to bring in talent. Calls it the Clarkson effect that people want to stay when we have signed every player we wanted to keep bar 1 (because of a ridiculous offer from another club) for next year and beyond. I can understand not agreeing with some of Dews selection and his past development of players, but one thing he has done is got the group invested. Everyone is happy here, everyone wants to be here. Sick of the potshots.
