I am stunned I thought the Suns were looking good under Dews coaching The players looked like they loved and respected him I would have him back at the Hawks as an assistant anytime

Only 2-4 weeks ago we lost to Carlton and Collingwood and we all thought damn this is a coach killer

It’s happened, we all saw it coming.

Let’s not pretend like it wasn’t the right thing to do.

We may lose players, but there’s 10 other blokes in the vfl that haven’t had a sniff of senior selection this year and now they get a fresh start with few games to go to see if they can add some energy and fight to this sinking ship.

Realistically looking at the fixtures with DewBall

North would be the only game left we go into as favourites on current form.

Not happy with how this went down.

They should have shown him a bit more respect.

Go to him and say "Look, we know you're contracted for next year, but it's finals or you're out" and then make clear that if/when it becomes obvious we're not making finals, we'll start exploring our options.

I can agree it's time to move on and find a new head coach, but we've just played the top 2 teams. No surprise we lost those two. Really only the Carlton game was disappointing in the past month or so. To 'suddenly' decide he's not the right guy now is just bullshit. Either the board had this in mind for quite a while, in which case they've been lying through their asses, or it's a stupid kneejerk reaction (I think it's the former).

More surprised at people’s reaction than Dew actually getting sacked.

It looks like we have actually digressed on last year, and there have been lots of whispers from the early rounds that Dew has isolated players and other coaches.

Devastating that it didn’t work, as I’ve been a massive Dew fan up until this year, but I think this whole year has been about when not if

This won't be a coincidence.

This decision was probably made a while ago and they left Dew in charge for two likely losses. May explain subbing King vs Port, he probably knew what was coming and it didn't matter if he annoyed King.

I feel Dew's papers were stamped at the time Hardwick announced he missed coaching.

After missing out on Clarko, your management didnt want to miss out on Hardwick.

Yes Suns could of handled this better, but who could blame them with Hardwick available.

Apparently has a very good BS detector was asking a lot of uncomfortable questions shortly after arriving.
So l'm told

On CPH2333 using BigFooty.com mobile app
how about this for burning bridges, Bob rides bikes with a previous staff member who was shown the door very badly by Evans and Dew, asked him some interesting questions last week
