Broken it down to the top 6 of the 21 and under bracket... then rated them as unbiased as i possibly could at their current state....

Carlton

Kreuzer 6/10
Gibbs 7/10
Murphy 8/10
Grigg 5/10
Jamison 7/10
Bower 6/10

Total - 39

Collingwood

Cloke 8/10
Thomas 6/10
Pendlebury 8/10
Clarke 5/10
Anthony 5/10
Brown 7/10

Total - 39

Essendon

Ryder 8/10
Neagle 6/10
Gumbleton 3/10
Reimers 6/10
Myers 4/10
Jetta 5/10

Total - 32

So Carlton just, ahead of collingwood and well in front of Essendon

My opinion only

You give Brown a 6/10, yet Jamison a 7/10?? Brown plays on the best opposition forward almost every single week, and more often than not holds his own. Jamison, whilst also a good player, does not take the opposition gun forwards. Brown has played on the likes of Brown, Riewoldt, Roughhead and Franklin just to name a few, holding his own against the mentioned players, albeit Franklin.

For mine, both players should be on even terms, at the very least.

And I respect that you ranked Murphy and Pendlebury the same, although for mine both are 8/10 :thumbsu:

I knew i would get a responce like this, having said that the reason why i rated Jamison higher was because he has done a number of jobs on both smalls and talls throughout the year, and yes he has taken the oppositions best forwards at times.
You will find nowadays that defenders can have up to 3/4 forwards throughout a game hence again why i have placed Jamison with a higher rating.

The reason why i gave them both a 7 was because Murphy kicking has stopped him from being a 9 and Pendles best to worst is pretty big ATM.

Neagle a 6/10?

He's already shown that he's capable of holding down FF (in fact in our wins a couple of weeks ago he was holding it down while Lloyd was playing up the ground with Lucas at CHF).

Actually I thought that was pretty generous, he shown good skills and timing but still hasn't taken a game by the balls yet.

6/10 is very fair, he's started well, but he said at their current state. And honestly, Neagle looks a likely type, but if he was any higher, you'd be suggesting he's already the equal of Murphy/Pendlebury/Cloke etc. (I'm aware they play different roles)

How many times has he held that position down this year. and are you telling me that he has had a btter year than both Kreuzer and Thomas???

I dont think eventhe most biased Essendon supporters would support your argument

Not sure about Ryder being better then Pendles but. Big call.

Ryder (CHB) like Cloke (CHF being the most important) has held the 2nd most important position on the ground all year... Pretty impressive from a 3rd year player, and without the help of Fletcher and Michael through various stages of the year

Travis Cloke
Scott Pendlebury
Dale Thomas
Martin Clarke
Cameron Wood
Chris Dawes
Ben Reid
Brad Dick
Sharrod Wellingham
John Anthony
Nathan Brown
John McCarthy
Tyson Goldsack
Kevin Dyas
Brent Maccaffer
--------------------
Ryan Cook
Jaxon Barham
Danny Stanley
Alan Toovey
Sam Iles
Casey-Leigh, Luke
It honestly doesn't get much better then that.

Thomas has been pretty good this year, but he goes missing way too much for me.

Like Pendles when they get the distance between their best and worst Collingwood will have 2 great on-ballers

I kinda disagree. I see alot of Collingwood as I'm a member (shhhhhhh;)) I think Pendles will elite, but I think Thomas might always be one of those players who never find consistency but will win 3 games a year off their own boot.

How are you disagreeing with me???

Like ive said Pendle's best will get him to a 9

Thomas' worst is way too far from his best... (hence your suggestion that he will win 3 games in a year).

You said 'when' they close the gap between their best and worst they will have 2 great onballers, I disagreed because I don't think Thomas will close the gap.
