Fair call. When he lost confidence, he became an absolute liability, although hsi best was well above plodder - unless you're purely describing his lack of pace.

The plodder was a reference to his pace. But I agree at his best he was good. I just not sure with his obvious weakness he can get to his best without the opposition finding him out.

He needs to develop a massive tank to compensate for his lack of pace. But if he does, watch out, because blokes with his ability to read the play, clean skills, balance, height and ability in the air are bloody valuable. I know many view some incidents last year as being very soft, but I view them as being fear of making a mistake rather than fear of being hurt - confidence.

Oxley is slow as as a turtle and can't win contested balls, pretty much every single of his good games came when he was the loose man in defence and could use his reading and intercept abilities freely... in that position he does look like an AFL player, but opposition teams aren't going to allow it moving forward... He just caught them off guard being a relatively unknown player.

The difference Scharenberg has is that he's actually quite good in the contest and elite in heavy traffic

Agree although I'm worried Scharenberg won't reach his peak now he's done his ACL again.

He will of missed 3 years of development, there's no doubt he won't reach his absolute peek but without another serious injury I'm very confident he'll end up a very good player... maybe not the superstar we had originally hoped though

Am I the only one who thinks Oxley isn't that slow? He might not have the acceleration, but when he's out in the open field he can haul ass. He takes long strides so that may give the effect of him being slow

Is hauling ass an actual term used to describe someone's running ability?

I would've thought it would better describe Jamie Elliott in a nightclub.

His opponents runnning away from him easily and him being run down from behind makes him look slow.

I thought I heard something about match simulation earlier in the week.
People have been talking about Reid having a run in it all week.
Don't think the club needs to officially advertise their training schedule IMO

Luke M said there was no Intra Club and Friday would be a Normal Training Sessions.

Sure did NOT look like that

Weird cause Crisp said there would be full match simulation on Friday... pretty sure another player mentioned it in some kind of presser after the game last week too.
