Also talls take a few years to come on. AJ is almost 25. I'd rather have the option given our history of no talls lol You cant rely on one or two

Yes to a degree. But undersized. also not getting any younger. its been known for years he wasnt enough. We have needed a bigger target. Which probably explains the Mcstay acquisition.

Agree. At the moment our forward line is; Elliott good, De Goey and Mihocek handy. Incoming McStay handy/good.

If we retain Grundy, Cameron gives us another bloke to rotate through KPF with Kreuzer and McStay.

We need to draft/recruit two tall guns for 2025 and beyond. Hopefully Kreuzer, Henry and Johnson develop into fine players.

I agree with the rest I just think Mihocek counts as a key forward.

I want to go back to the good old days when we had three strong pillars monstering the opposition in Cloke, Dawes and Brown.

We have made him one. But he isn't meant to be the #1 forward. Has needed the support with him. But he is soon 30, so not getting any younger. We need to be having more young key forwards coming through. So if Lemmey or someone was around our pick, we need to pull the trigger.

We have one in McMahon that's going under the radar a bit. I really like his development so far. Playing back but could play forward, is a good mark and a beautiful long kick.

Yeah, I'd be curious if they actually see key defender as his long term role. or if they plan on putting him back forward at some point.

Only needs to put on 30kg and show he can actually play forward, be physical, crash packs, big marks, contest and kick goals.

I think he said something more along the lines of he would only draft a tall forward with first pick in November if they were best available.

I.e. the form of the current players on the list (and maybe proposed trade in McStay) means we don't have to reach for a specific player type (KPF) as it's not an urgent need.
