Ooh did they? Wonder why he turned it down. Then it definitely could happen.
I guess, like Kelly and the Browns, he wanted to make the number his own rather than taking his fathers.

And yes, I totally agree it does trump tradition.
I understand they offered both Josh and Callum their respective Dad’s jumper numbers and both turned it down, not sure if Tyler was offered Gavin’s number though.

The 26 was taken (by Daicos) so wasn't available. No doubt there would have been a discussion but I don't get the feeling that either of the Brown boys wanted the responsibility of wearing the 26.

I remember Sam Mitchell kicking a goal from outside 50m, on his wrong foot!

Was it ever really confirmed which side was his "wrong" foot?

I was gonna say, Mitchell never had any issues with his kicking, it was the major weapon he had if anything.

As if we trade our 20 and 21 first picks for a key forward we will have to hold our 22 first pick and can’t trade it in 21.
If academy kids involve us matching a first round selection, they count as us taking first rounders.
Correct. If you match a bid in the first round you essentially purchase the pick that was used for the bid with points accumulated from your next pick(s). In 2018 we used pick 13 on Quaynor despite having no actual first rounder.
The beauty of this system for us in our situation means that we are free to chuck away our 20/21 firsts while still having official first round selections in Reef and Daicos, so no restrictions will apply in 2021 if we wish to trade our 2022 first.
