Because he has to play school footy over Nab league and will also have to play the carnival for Vic Metro
Probably no school footy or nab league this year. Next year, won't be any school footy since he graduates this year. So he'll have Oakleigh/Lab League

I would not rule out NAB Challange as not to start at end of August.

Might move the Kids interstate to play games but I doubt they do that for NAB Challange maybe for a Short U-18 Comp

Problems are piling up for these kids from all areas as the draft will be deeply compromised by not only a lack of junior football but also substantial list cuts.

They are not moving the kids interstate in their year 12 year

Then I guess that the Season for them and be Intresting how the Interstate kids go in the Draft as they be Playing Footy where the Vic Kids Can't

There won’t be substantial list cuts this year. They’ll be cut back gradually if they go down that path.

Oh, we know all about Reef. I cant wait for him to be at our club.

He's been talked about for about a year or so now.

He is rated anywhere between top10-30. He probably would have been able to push up the scale if there was any U18 footy, so maybe on that fact, he could be pushed down on that alone.

Lloyd just mentioned Reef as one of the top prospects of this years draft

Be interesting to know where the phantom draft would stand rn without any U/18s games

Anyone seen Reef play?
Yeah I think I've seen him a few times ;)

In all seriousness, top-end is probably on the late 8-12, but realistically I'm in the 14-18 camp. Some would have him as a second rounder and I would lean more towards that than the 8-12. For mine, that later first round is about right.

His upside is very good, he is quite a great size with that prototype midfielder and he moves well out of a stoppage - he runs a sub three-second 20m - positioning pretty good. Can play up either end too which helps. Unfortunately being in the same midfield as Rowell and Anderson didn't help with his midfield opportunities. The game he played at Box Hill (I always bloody forget which one off the top of my head) where his school had the bye, but other schools like Carey (Rowell/Anderson) didn't, he came in and had a massive game playing through the midfield.

If anything not playing any games has benefited us. He could really have shot up if he worked on his kicking. It's that area that is still the iffy question mark on my end. It's a workable aspect though, but it's that and probably his four quarter consistency, but again with limited games in the full-time midfield it's difficult to work.

In terms of being in the Pies team, he is probably able to take Wills' spot is that big-bodied mid, but with better versatility and much better athleticism. He was injured at the start of the year so missed testing, but in 2019 ran a 2.97-second 20m sprint. His agility is 8.68 so not great, but again that's 12 months ago so could be under the 8.5. Endurance could improve, was 20.4 but imagine that's closer to say 20.8 hopefully by now.

Summary/tldr:

Strengths:
Size, positioning, athleticism/burst speed, versatility
Improvements: Kicking, consistency, endurance

He did some training at the Club over Summer also, unless I am mistaken.
Correct. I saw him there most of the summer pre-season. Was mainly inside, but when outside helped out a few things. Think he was coming off an injury otherwise he may have participated. But I liked the look of him. Quite tall, big bodied.

hopefully he slips to the second round and we can draft a key forward with our first
Yeah. Depends who are available at our pick. If there are any key forwards at that point. But yeah, he could very well slip, no doubt. Especially with all the FS/Academies and also players clubs might have before him.
