The first response of an organisation to any discrimination claim is the most important and telling. The report says Collingwood has always looked to put a positive spin on any story, even one like this. It's coming back to bite them now. People will come out of the woodwork with their stories of pain.

Not that the Pies are alone. We need to change the whole culture of racism in sport.

I remember that racist word Krakouer mentioned in that "joke" being used a lot about Indigenous peoples when I was a kid... I thought it'd been stamped out since about the late 80's... trust Collingwood to resurrect it. I'm sure not everyone is a casual racist at the place, but there's enough smoke here for them to drop the blind denial about there being problems.
