Kudos to the club for keeping the “country” field updated in insta as they travel around.

It’s little details like that that show that our club’s reconciliation activities are genuine and not just token.

A real shame he isnt a premiership player
It’s kind of a complicated situation, because he did actually get a Premiership medal after the replay for playing in the Drawn GF.

But in the records it seems he isn’t counted as one. Even in one of the 2023 Premership books they had a list of every Collingwood Premership player and Neon wasn’t present.

Technically he is.

Yep, he's definitely not officially classed as a premiership player, despite being given that medal. I checked on that with the AFL many years ago, and that's what I was assured!

Not sure where to put this but this will do.

It's a long shot but does anyone on here have any kind of personal connection with Sidey?

I'm asking because my sister is a loyal Collingwood supporter who has added her 4 children to the Collingwood faithful.

One of those her only daughter Emily is turning 22 on the 22nd of December.

Because of her birth date, the fact Steele visited her primary school when she was a kid and autographed a small note to her (which she still has ) he has remained her favourite player.

She was hoping to organise a surprise short video message from Steele and was happy to pay him for it.

This shouldn't have been a problem because Steele is registered on heyswysh.com but his profile has been labelled "Back Soon" for many months now according to her.

She reached out to that website just today but had no luck. She had a hail Mary at his management today also. She's previously tried contacting Collingwood directly, using our social media platforms and even resorted to the players association.

Fair to say she is a mother on a mission.

So, what am I asking of anyone who can get in his ear?

Well, could he possibly restore his swysh account for a short period now he's back in training?

I'm sure she'd be happy to deal with and pay him directly for a short video message if we know it's legit.

Failing all that could he please be told to look out for a desperate mother asking for a short video message at the open training session this Saturday.

If by some miracle you could help me out just DM me.

Thanks.

Ms Wilson sticking her knife in the Pies again.

She missed a few stories.

AFL changing the HTB interpretation mid season was easily a top 5 story

Re-emergence of the Hawks was easily a top 5 story.

I reckon Simpson stepping down was a bigger story than Longmire stepping down. WCE is a higher profile club, it happened in-season, and was more of a circus. For WCE there was the “who is going to replace Simpson?” element to it that Swans didn’t have.

Collingwood is always a big story and the only reason us supporters haven’t converged on the AIA Centre with pitchforks over the recent upheaval is because we’re still bathing in the afterglow of a Premiership and our men’s team were competitive.

Jeff Browne is stepping aside for health reasons - there's a well qualified successor - she could have left Jeff Browne out of it

He's not stepping aside for health reasons. He's been very public about this, including the latest episode of Brian Taylor's podcast. He's in deep remission and is almost guaranteed to be elevated to Chairman of Myeloma Australia. Not the actions of a man in declining health.

There's health and then there's health.... - still think Wilson could have left him out of it - also where's the hard evidence of Leppa creating problems? From what I can glean Fly and the players seem pretty positive about 2025

PS - what hasn't changed is that we are a political and news worthy (click creating) club.

She did just say friction. Leppa has made it clear that he's shaking up recruitment. Shaking up a department in any organisation tends to cause friction - doesn't necessarily equate to a problem though - might be a good thing.

Fair enough - helluva lot of joints could do with some positive friction..

Is Leppa rooting out any vestiges of lethargy?

Go Leppa!

I mean it's been mentioned numerous times Leppa and Bolts did not get along, at all. At one point the club mentioned Bolton was not interested in a line coaching role, and wanted to work in more of a leadership/management position. Which was absolute bs from the club as that was never the case. Leppa has always been a hard headed character who wants to be in charge, and requires people to fall in line. As is Craig Kelly. It can cause staff that work under them to wonder if they're actually a valued part of the football department, or just following the orders of a dictator.

Everything in her article is already public knowledge, the club has been chaotic for some time. Fortunately it's not really anything that would concern the playing group. But the club certainly needs to smooth things out off field.

Not sure saying everything that is already a public knowledge means sticking the knife in, maybe it's just me.
It's me - I tend to see red with her - I will try to be more restrained in future...

maybe...

Ern Clarke, John Hickey, Ranald MacDonald, Alan McAlister, Eddie (twds the end)

Floreat F#cken Pica ...

Maybe Fly and the boys should form a breakaway group who just play

Leave the bullsh#t to a corporate rump
