She never has anything bad to say about Richmond. Pretty sure she stuck up for Dusty a few times yet didn’t do the same for Swanny.
Any journo or commentators that show bias towards who they support are idjuts.
Including the Collingwood ones like our ex President Ed.
I just couldn't listen to him.
Unprofessional.

mcguire reminds me of a faded tv/film star well past their use-by-date ..... who for reasons best known to them hangs around in the vain hope someone - anyone - will pay them attention

eddie mcguire is the daryl somers of australian rules football ..... both cringeworthy and unwatchable

It's just you.

To be fair, she does have a point

Many here shared similar concerns.

Again, on the surface, it doesn't look great to have so much drastic change and rumours/reports of friction/unrest only a year after a Premiership.

And apparently Dusty playing his 300th - one of several to do so this year - and the 104th to do it in history was a bigger story than Pendles being the 6th player in history to get to 400.

Yes, but concerns making it one of the top 5 stories of the year?

Caro should rename her list: The 5 things I crapped on the most about.

I guess that's probably a separate argument that's fairly subjective

Her being a Collingwood hating Richmond supporter naturally would have a "Collingwood controversy" story in her Top 5. I'd expect it.

Is it actually as much of a story as she makes out? Given we missed finals by mere percentage in a season where basically nothing went right, probably not?

Fair enough mate.

Her observations did align with other journos as well, but Caro holds a special place in my heart. :)

She did spend a lot of time crapping on about Collingwood off field comings and goings. Surprised it didn't hit number 1 on her list.
She'll entertain the Portsea crowd with Cwood stories over summer - facts need not be an issue

It's not really a separate argument. Her story was about 5 biggest stories of the year. The size of the story is the dodgy part of her reporting on this.

I mean a separate argument insomuch as

1) Is it a cause for concern? Maybe a little bit?

2) Is it so concerning that it's "Top 5 stories of 2024"? Probably not

Yes, Collingwood is in utter turmoil and that makes it, but the story about Richmond that almost made the cut, but didn't, was Dusty's 300th game. Not the ****ing wooden spoon that they took home. Not even them dumping all of their most valuable players for untried draft picks, which people seem to think is a brilliant move, but guarantees they won't play finals for years now.

Scott Pendlebury played his 400th game this year in a thriller against Carlton decided by a missed kick after the siren, but that didn't come up. Just us being a club in crisis, yet again.

Just watched it

It’s always funny seeing how the kids start out with interviews and watching their personalities come out more over the years as they gain confidence in themselves as players and in front of a microphone

My first thought was.. what kind of questions are these lol
But it was good by the boys.

Freeking embarissing when people cannt' spell
Most people would expect that surname to be spelt with an 'e' on the end, but this time that's not the case, and coming from the club itself such a mistake looks very amateurish. Even if the media folks think they have it right, checking with someone in the football department before sending it off would make sense, and might save someone a bit of embarrassment!
