Hine definitely deserves credit for what he’s done. Some blunders of course, but he’s had a solid contribution in recruiting a bulk of two entirely different Premiership teams for us.

Every Recuriter will have Blunders

How would we ever know that he’s blundered? How could we tell the difference between a player who is a blundered recruit versus a player who has had their development blundered? Or a player who fits well within the coaches’ requirements today but doesn’t fit within the coaches’ requirements in the future when the gameplan evolves?

We’ve got 52 players over 68 years old.

Add to that we have a bunch of young / fringe players, some of whom inevitably won’t make it no matter how many posters of them we have up on our bedroom walls.

Add to that the fact we’re such an awesomely awesome team that we’ll be generally behind other clubs in draft order.

Add to that there being only two drafts before Tassie comes on board.

Add to that there being more flexibility to trade future picks from the next draft.

So all this means investing in our recruitment makes good strategic sense.

If anything it would have been good to do this a year earlier. But can’t fault that, it’s not as if a Premiership winning footy department justifies being disrupted too much.

That looks like Neon Leon in the middle of the pic?

That looks like Fraser is there, so we know what role he has at the club these days?

Need to make our Call soon then

Why appoint someone who has “interest” in another clubs job?
Would he stay a couple of years, collect i.p then take it to an opponent?
Cross Gardiner off the list for this very reason.

Chris Grant has just left the Dogs. Maybe another candidate for us.

An absolute cancer at the Dogs by all reports, no thanks.
