It was a lifestyle decision vs other VIC clubs. He very much enjoyed the lifestyle and relative anonymity that Sydney provided, it’s well documented.
Understood. Just relaying a recent article in the West Australian where it stated the "Geelong" lifestyle was an attraction for him over money. The theme of the article was discussing the Geelong list's willingness to take unders.

Interesting the talk that the the sub will be replaced with 5 on the bench next year. Some people are suggesting that this would be a huge advantage to a ruck combo like Gawn and Grundy. I think that this impacts one of Grundy's biggest assets, his ability to run his opponent into the ground over the course of 4 quarters. Kruger, Cameron, Cox, MacStay not a mde rotation across the bench and forward line.

If we are a genuine chance at bringing in the 5 players linked to us, plus our own 1st, plus the possible 1st/2nd for Grundy, there's a likelihood we wouldn't use those picks in the draft anyway.

I'm not fussed with late picks this year

Stop being so sensible…

This time of year is about catastrophising 3rd rounders paid for ‘terrible’ players like Lipinski and Cameron 😉

Me waiting for Ollie Henry's decision.

Its Been A Long Time Waiting GIF

So, are we all set for the Cats to emerge as a bidder for DeGoey, to replace Selwood and boost their quest for back-to-back Premierships?

Having missed out on Hopper, they're gonna be very keen for an A-grade midfielder top-up trade.
Degoey will look fat in hoops.

Selwood retired, seeing as he's over 30 & only on base wage it should free up cash to get Touk Miller & Tom Green.:drunk:

That’s numberwang!

A lot of panic about Frampton possibly costing us a 3rd and Hill a 2nd.

There is way too much emphasis on the title (first, second, third rounder) than the value of the picks themselves. For instance, statisticallly it is much better for a club to move on a pick in the 14-20 range for the combination of either established players or two picks in the 20-35 range. But clubs don't nearly do it enough because of the stigma that comes with "giving away a first rounder"

I know I'm on my own on this one, but I still want Sam Weideman
