Grundog is livestreaming on the Gram RN w/Dylan AlcottView attachment 1531903Gotta say, I respect him so much for not saying a word through this whole debacle. Stand up gent, ripping bloke. I wish him all the best in his travels. Just not against us.

Yeah he has played that aspect well & he always gets the Extra chewies in his shots to please his sponsors!

If we can fit Grundy into our cap, Melbourne may have more to lose if the deal fell over.

We lose Mitchell (I'm not bothered by that) and have some difficulty in working out how all our talls fit in. The Demons have no second ruck.

May have more leverage than it seems.

Maybe we waited until the Jackson trade was done. Sure seems like it.

GC are only moving 7 because they had access to 5 all along. They still want to be in this draft at the pointy end. Our only access to a top 10 pick is going to be via Geelong, St Kilda or Carton. Geelong is obvious, St Kilda will take a decent player or moving our 2023 1st and Carlton will need our 2023 1st (no cap space).
I know it's unlikely, but I would still love the melts at Geelong if we picked Clark before their pick. :D

Intresting we might yet Keep Both Grundy and Henry.

Though I very much doubt the Mitchell trade happens then

Can’t see us keeping both - surely our salary cap would be busted with them staying, plus McStay and Hill? Good strong stance in negotiations though.

Yep, nothing against him personally he just got a bit greedy with his contract when the club was desperate. Looking back at it he’ll regret it, but we move on.

Glad you understand
Because your earlier suggestion Grundy doesn’t suit our game plan, shows you don’t understand the game.
Your hypothetical scenario confirms you know Jack about football. Best to keep one’s mouth closed , and be thought a fool , than to open it and remove all doubt

Grundy's clearances are hack kicks that go forward 25m. Mitchell's clearances are beautiful handballs to players like Pendles and Daicos
Might be worth asking the question why we're the only team even vaguely interested in Mitchell though.

He would be a decent short term option for us, but not something we should be worried about missing out on. Overall Grundy offers more in my view. Mitchell has clearances but not a lot more, and as he doesn't drive out of packs, needs receivers for his dinky handballs. I'd even say I prefer Adams.

Confident Grundy will be traded, but not too worried if he isn't.

Our Leverage now, is that without Grundy Melb drop off significantly in the flag race.
Not trading 13 and 27 to us for pick 16, may look like a very dumb move this time next year.

No it doesn’t. It has the value of pick 25 and 38. Stop using ******* points to value trades when we don’t need points. It’s asinine.

Seriously… *.
Surely he's doing it just to troll you now. It defies belief that anyone would mention points with no F/S or Academy kids.
