It may even end up being their future first considering this year’s draft is rated highly. Make no mistake we don’t have the whip hand here.

Future first won’t be a bad result thb, maybe we get a future first for Ollie as well. That would give us three first rounders to play around with next year which is good currency. Maybe our cap opens up a bit next year and we can use the currency on a big fish.

• Base payments;
• Total match payments;
• Total ASA payments;

Total performance incentives based on AFL awards or honours, club best and fairest finish or games played (not including finals). Any incentives for team performance do not have to be matched. A player cannot table an offer to be matched for less than a two-year contract length.

No.. worst case scenario is he accepts the Saints offer. Club thinks we are being smart by matching the Saints huge offer to instigate a trade and he accepts our offer at the blown out cost/years
