List doesn't have significant holes. Maybe a cheap kpd for depth. Sign Johnson. Try to improve our draft picks. Pick best available. Done.

Hard to get elite mids without being top 10. Unless we fall down the ladder going to need to either get lucky in draft or trade

This type of thinking has never made any sense to me.

Moving on depth leaves us vulnerable to injury and reliant on unproven kids. In my opinion it was what cost us the 2018 GF, having both Moore and Dunn injured left us short in the backline, which could’ve been alleviated if we didn’t move on Keefe, our depth.

I like what we did last year and moved on players who were our weakest links.

Agree, and we won't have a lot to trade, which is why I mentioned Tarryn Thomas - understand this is unlikely given his issues. Most likely would seem to be free agency, though then not quite as young. Parish would be a good get.

Free agency or young players who haven't yet broken out or have issues is likely where we're at.

Depends a bit on how highly we rate our young mids in the VFL.

De Goey is 27. Prefer to have one more younger one. If we're lucky that could be Allan or even McInnes, but not something to rely on I don't think (some might include Josh, which could be fair enough).

Bianco, our best VFL player on the weekend, should be moved on? Really? I'd prefer we moved on Murley before we thought about moving on Bianco. Bianco was captain of a team with Rowell and Anderson in it, he's got an accurate kick and with Sidey nearing retirement (like it or not, it's going to happen), why would we ditch Bianco?

The players we cut from the VFL list should be the worst performers Kelly.

Ruscoe is a solid defender. He's depth at the moment, but not because he can't play.
