I'd do a swap for James Rowbottom, purely because of how much Brian Taylor hates Collingwood.

Off to the races on GF Day eve, deciding to boot a banana 48m out.
You think Taylor Adams wants to leave the Pies because he's upset about the 'cahoots' of Ginni? ...getting on the waters for an hour whilst watching his mate's horse race to take his mind off the GF? 😆

Taylor wasn't exactly an angel when he was a young man, I seriously doubt this would have bothered him...

...and a poor kick got him upset? Taylor upset by poor kicking? Lol.

If we trade Tay, Swans have to pay up, no point trading him for a worthless pick, and I think it's worth going for a player in return.

If they don't want to pay up, he stays
Agree, Tay will fit in well with the Swans, especially with Grundy joining them. The trade has to make our list better now, otherwise, why do it?

That's now two words you need to look up in the dictionary. Cahoots and banana.
Well has he not decided to promote the Cox Plate? Does that not suggest he was up to something at the races on Friday night before the Grand Final? He may have secret links to racing bodies. Cahoots could fit there.

The banana element of the cahoots of Ginni probably makes less sense but I've learnt a new word now.

Excatly, which is why the Swans will have to offer some young talent, this is nothing like the Titch situation.

There is zero rumour here, I am just curious. Would Collingwood pay the Swans pick 18 to take Grundy's entire contract off your hands?
$250-350k is not worth Pick 18 so no.

But we could trade Adams and accept a lower pick for them to alleviate all contract money. No Adams contract, no

Sure, but I think you're getting unders here. We'll also take Logan McDonald's contract off your hands.

I am hoping you haven't yet looked it up.

Secret links? His friend's horse was racing. It's not a secret. Are you suggesting organised crime now? 😆

I believe he was approached to be the Cox Plate Ambassador.. lots of footballers & their partners have similar roles during the Spring Racing Carnival.

It was only 12 months ago that Sydney beat us in a Preliminary final.

They've secured Jordan, will obtain Grundy, are after Adams (who else?) and with a younger group overall have more capacity for natural growth in coming seasons. Do we want to give them what could be a missing piece of a Premiership puzzle when we ourselves are in the window?

As far as I'm concerned we have the whip hand here, Adams is contracted, he was best 22 when fit this year and is a leader of the club.

If Sydney want him then they have to pay overs or we simply walk away.

A top 25 pick is the minimum starting point for any discussions.
Totally agree. Even at pick 25 we will be shafting ourselves royally. He is our vice captain and we are attempting to win another premiership while we are still in the window. That window will be 2 years max with this group.

Adams will be best 22 for the next couple of years and if Mitchell gets injured Adams suddenly becomes one of our most important players.

A draft pick will not be able to help us get another flag in the next 2 years. Adams will.

Why would we even consider it unless the offer is just too good to refuse??

It was a joke. No, I am not suggesting Ginni is involved in organised crime.

I definitely thinks it's reasonable for the club to demand overs for a vice captain wanting to go to a finals rival while we're trying to score another premiership.
It doesn't have to be crazy talk like Dodoro, but the club comes first.

Rumoured to be 4 years @ $250K-$350K or $1.0M to $1.4M.

Geelong took a 1 year hit of $700K for Bowes.
Personally I'd rather chew up $250-350k in our cap over four years than give away pick 18. As much as pick 18 slides down the order, relying on second round talent isn't great.

If we have $1.4m in our cap, try and get Haynes or something for a high end pick. Then I'd be okay with it.
