A Joel Hamlimg as kp back would be good if he can get over his injuries also too as previous poster said Dylan Shiel well i think saints are too into him doubt we would get him we need tough extractors of the ball, Harmes from Melbourne may be cheap upgrade but Ollie wines is best for us. Like for like with Adams but classy too Mitchell and Wines the extractors is what we need for another crack at back to back

Potential unpopular take incoming. Losing Adams puts Haynes in play. We were in on Doedee so there’s interest in and scope for that type of player once we clear Adams salary.

GWS pay half his wage in a Mitchell type arrangement, we get him for no trade cost and hopefully walk away with something acceptable from the loss of Adams.

Sounds like a drunk wimp in the pub on Saturday night telling everyone he could of beat Mike Tyson if he didn't get fist ulcers
And a glass jaw. He has been knocked out 3 times in drunken spats he has started with team mates. He is right up there with his coach

You mean this Hamling?

We are still in the premiership window to go back to back.
Lets have another crack. Taylor Adams wants to leave okay loyal servant but has not been there at pointy end of year this yaer and last ywear. His best year in finals was 2018..................But since then no good has let us down when needed .He is too injury prone when exerting at full pace.

Let him go to Sydney for 3 years to collingwoods 1 year deal so be it..................We want their second round pick or HAYWARD or we can give our first rounder pick 18 plus Adams for Gulden or PAPLEY.

Or we take Sydney's second rounder and on trade to Port for Ollie Wines starigfht swap forget Dursma.
Wines has been played out of position at Port Imagine 2 brownlow medallists in the guts mitchell and wines as extractors like for like swap for Adams but more durable.

Get it done Wrighty
Surely you're kidding thinking Swans would entertain any thought of trading out Gulden or Papley .. 😆

It sounds like Haynes is only really a chance to leave if Elliott Himmelberg elects to go from Adelaide to GWS. North supposedly showing interest in Haynes but I would hope we throw our name in the ring. Would need that contract share or re-jig as you suggest.

Graham Wright speaking with Cal Twomey

There's certainly a way he stays (if the trade isn't suitable). He knows it might not get done.

Have had a look at what Sydney could offer but haven't really spoken to them. Wouldn't commit to saying we asked for pick 23 etc.

Reiterated he's contracted and would've been playing grand final day if not for injury.

I'd love him to stay and play in a premiership with us in 2024.

Wright also mentioned we'd like to move up the order but admitted it may not be possible.

Asked about Macrae, mentioned he's contracted and see an opportunity for him in the future.

Twomey mentioned the May comments. Said he isn't sure of the context, whether it was just for fun or whatever... but just left it alone by saying it was "interesting" 😂

That's how you handle business. Keep it professional, maintain leverage, then get to work making the deal happen.

It would have been widely reported by now if it were the case and it’s also not a pre-Covid contract. I think it would surprise some how much it is because he signed it post AA and B&F, but more likely the $600-800k range than $1m+.
Way more than $600k. Would have been indexed with the pay deal and is definitely back-ended.

I’m on the fence. I don’t have faith that Howe has to many matches left in him at the level we saw in September, but it feels like Haynes stopped to a crawl this year and we’d still be on the hook for $600k if they’re paying half. If the stars align and he’s on the market I think the Adams decision may change our thinking.

Another worth sniffing around is Matt Kennedy squeezed out of the Blues midfield and playing forward when he is in the mix. Seems a good ready made replacement to me. Then you could just go **** it and throw something at Nash/ Soligo/ Thomas/ Durham (if Duursma comes across) see what sticks because it feels like we’re playing with house money after the premiership.

Kennedy would be a solid get as old mate Vossy loves playing him out of position
