Wowee the Freo board is laugh.

They seriously want Pick 18 and Allan. Or alternatively a top 10 pick.

I do have sympathy for them though. They are rightly saying that if Schultz genuinely wants to leave for personal reasons then why has he singled out just one club. Which is exactly the same sentiment we all had when Beams originally left…

For personal reasons he wants t9 play for Collingwood. Sounds reasonable!

I think Ginni will be traded and I'm not against it smart footballer just very lazy.

Schultz is a mix between Elliot and Beau very quick great pressure and has come through the tough way exactly the player we love.

Absolute upgrade on Ginni and Adams when forward.

Murphy is a big issue, the only positive is that defenders are usually pretty easy to find especially when they are in great structures.

Just saw some of the work you’ve put out there on the freo board! Well received haha

Well I guess the thinking is that Macrae will be a better mid (and can partly replace Tay), and Schultz will be a better forward. Ginni was already a fringe player.
Ginni is a fringe player, but I can't imagine we're interested in losing him if he wants to stick around. I imagine him wanting to work on midfield craft hasn't materialised without coaches getting in his ear.

The deal will get done and GW will facilitate it, because he gets things done, and Sarge will contribute to our next flag (hopefully in 2024).

If there are compassionate/family reasons, you would think if they’re inclined to help Lachie out, that Wright would be about as good an operator as you could get to deal with in that situation.

The downside for Freo is that we have pick #18. The upside is that we won’t likely do a Geelong and say “we’re not going to trade our first because reasons”.

I hope we're not. Not worth the drama.
Thomas has the talent and looked decent once his CBAs were up late in the season. Second rounder for him and I’d definitely do it, get him to settle send there’s some great upside. Still only 23. North have some good mids that might squeeze him out by next year, also not in flag contention…

Guess we’d have to find a spot for him too, probably keeps Macrae out more immediately.

Isn't Schulz out of contract? He hit a trigger but sounds like he hasn't taken it.

No he hit a trigger for 2024, and is now wanting to be traded whilst under contract like Mr. Adams.

I’d like to think we’re professional enough to treat him like a young, developing Collingwood player until he isn’t. I don’t find the messaging all that revealing.

Well yeah like loyalty is a 2 way street.

Collingwood have made mistakes and had to pay for it.

This isn't some rumour, the blokes been screwed on contracts, I'm not sure he owes them anything.

But we have Billy turning 32. Bobby can play wing. Beau could spend time in the midfield. With such an ageing list, I just don't see the logic in losing young players with such potential & high footy IQ.

We don't have the same 22-23 players available every week, for a variety of reasons.

I sincerely hope Ginni, his manager & the coaches have all reaffirmed their commitment to each other this past week so this latest media frenzy doesn't push him out the door.
