I had to Google who he was - drafted before my time.
He was the white knight, vic metro captain and gun. Peaked to early and I think never came to terms with the professionalism required. Towards the end, he put together some training form only to do his ankle and that was the end of it. Was supposed to be better than Heath.

He was easily the best of the 3 brothers. He had other issues and habits that got in the way. Edit: Wrong guy, I am talking about Neville Shaw

Perhaps he wants to live in QLD and Brisbane is a very good side.
Who knows mate.
And another point, who cares. Doedee was the 2nd most overrated guy to change clubs during the trade/ FA period. He was on the outer before his knee and wouldn’t have got back into that Adelaide team next year up against Worrell, Butts, Keane and Michalanney (+ Murray once he’s over his knee).

I don’t think Heath ever peaked in terms of his professionalism, either.

was too slow... had his fathers genes there sadly, whilst his cousins had their fathers genes of pace

Brayden was also rated as the better junior out of him and Heath.
Heath had a hip defect (could be wrong on the term defect, it was definitely a injury of some kind, its why he runs funny) through u18s and was nursed through the year to ensure he was drafted (His dad was coach, cousin Brayden was captain).

He was drafted pretty late (pick 48) A mate from work played in his northern knights team, Heath was discouraged from kicking the ball in case he hurt his hip. My mate even got benched once for not running past him to get the handball so he didn't have to kick!

I have a funny feeling Brayden was Vic Metro captain as well

Hawthorn have delisted Cooper Stephens - the guy they got for Tom Mitchell.

188 cms, 86 kgs, drafted #16 (2019)

played 7 afl games for geelong (2022), their premiership year, and looked okay'ish at finding the pill on the inside, standing in tackles & dishing off.

tad surprising hawks have let him go after only 1-year

They plan on rooking him. They had to open up more spots for the picks they need to take into the draft for FS prospects

Pendlebury is no guarantee to play on after 2024. Perhaps if we went back-to-back, he leaves to be a part-time coach elsewhere whilst still playing?

I can see Noble being squeezed out next year. No knock on him, more we've got depth.

Murphy is skating on thin ice. Not sure when we find out more.

Macrae becomes a best 23 player, Carmichael, McInnes and Allan not far behind.

I don’t think Heath ever peaked in terms of his professionalism, either.
He would of peaked most sat nights

The rookie list is such a joke. AFL need to cut this crap out so it can used for actual developing players, not list shuffling and tricks!
I agree - Chad Wingard, for example, is a long way from being a rookie.
Rookie positions should be for young players who miss out on being drafted for whatever reason.
Category B rookies are different, but it's still possible for manipulation to take place.
