T Browne reporting Bombers in box seat for Bobby Hill, Norf & Pies have registered their interest...

Far out.

Unlikely an indigenous player would nominate us over Essebdon.

However a first rounder does seem a bit steep.

How many players on our list would be worth two top 10 picks? How many would be worth onetop 10 pick? Thoughts.

Which big money players are changing teams? So far it's literally just been Cerra. It's not as if big money players are being exchanged a lot this season, so I would like to know how you're gauging our cap to be bursting.
Most clubs are waiting to find out what the cap will be going forward.

Wouldn’t be trading our future 1st, pick 27 is fair deal imo.

He's probably a victim of GWS's loaded midfield / small brigade and has been the medical sub a fair bit which limits his impact.

Has bags of talent though:

If it were a draftee within our grasp with that tape we'd be all over him, but now he comes with a mature body and 3 years in the system.

Who is GWS's loaded small forward? I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, but his stats are pretty poor. He does tackle though and I'd happily trade him in, but I don't think he's a high prio target, especially if GWS want anything earlier than 27.

yes, but would you let that slide a little to get Bobby. I mean, no matter what are we going to do bettter than Daicos, Hill and a sliding first next year.
And if that slide means we miss out on a high rated KPF? Is Hill worth that?

Talented small forward Bobby Hill wants out of Greater Western Sydney, with Essendon emerging as the front-runner to win his services.
Hill has officially requested a trade out of the Giants for compassionate reasons and is expected to be a Bomber, Hawk or Kangaroo next season.
Essendon has the most compelling offer in front of the 21-year-old, who would deliver Ben Rutten’s side the goal sneak the club’s been chasing.
The Bombers missed out on Gold Coast’s Malcolm Rosas, who re-signed at the Suns, and were interested in former Crow and Tiger Tyson Stengle.

There are some talented talls at the top end next year.

You don't trade a future 1st for a small forward. You draft them. I'd rather find one in the state league as a DFA or rookie. Not sacrificing another future 1st.

The 2 other picks might be used to upgrade rookies (Noble and Ginnivan), opening up rookie spots, to be used to rookie some of the players we had to delist before the draft. Perhaps Cox, Lynch/Madgen/Rantall/Thomas..
Better taking the better players in national draft while they are available rather than risk them not being available in rookie draft

It's more their glut of midfielders than small forwards.

Their small forward mix in recent years has been Greene, Perryman (more half forward), Daniels, Hill, Giles-Langdon (went to west coast this year), Bruhn (2021 draftee) and then they roll their (many) excess midfielders through the small forward spots. Coniglio played the first half of the season basically as a small forward. Green spends a big chunk of his game time in the forward line when he gets a game.
